vbac - anyone with personal experience?

I am wondering if anyone has had a personal experience with vbac? I am 31wks pregnant with my second baby girl. I have also had an abdominaplasty and would prefer to have a vbac than go through being cut again after previous c section and abdominaplasty!

Hi Dancer, I've had 2 VBACs, one at the John Hunter in Newcastle. Both were totally natural deliveries. I strongly encourage you to go for it!! Where are you planning to deliver? The JHH is a great place for a VBAC because the director of obstetrics and many of the staff specialists are very supportive.

I am planning to have the delivery at the john hunter. I am pleased to hear about your successful vbac, and the fact that it was at the John is encouraging to hear. I have only recently made the decision to try natural as I also have an ovarian dermoid tumour that was going to be removed during my c section, but have decided to try it natural and have the tumour removed several weeks after birth. I am trying to get into the right head space for it, so all positive vbac stories are welcomed thanx.

My last baby was a VBAC. My c section was for a breeh presentation and I choose not to have a medicalised birth for my 4th child. Instead of going through the hospital system though I chose to birth at home.

Hope you enjoy the read. Oh btw water is great for supporting a VBAC. Look into it at your hospital if you are keen. My bet is though they won't allow it as you are now a "high risk" patient.

Hi Dancer I just recently had a VBAC in November. Here is my birth experience :)

Dr Bisits supervised my care. He was not at the actual delivery; I was booked in to the birth centre so the baby was delivered by the midwife. He just looked in during labour.
