Morning all!!!
Co sleeping seems to be working a charm. we are getting nearly 6 hours out of Lach now. Cheeky little bugger.
Now if only he would feed properly EVERY feed. We are slowly getting there. Thankgoodness. There are the odd crappy days, but nowhere near as bad as last week!
Only thing is he wont let me gt anything done:( He just cries and cries if I leave the room, adn then if im in the room, if I havent touched him or picked him up for 5 mins, he cries again.
Today I have wayyyyy too much washing to do, so he may have to go 5 mins crying without me there. I hate leaving him to cry but I worry he is getting wayyy to dependant on me being at his every beck and call.
Anyways, best be off... got a couple of things to look at on here, then Ibetter get stuck into that washing!!! its not raining anymore!
Have a good day. No doubt I'll be back to check on you all:)
-
Nicky I know what you mean about being dependant on you, I am the same. KAetlyn will only sleep with me during the day on the lounge- otherwisae she just naps for 20 mins or so in the rocker or on her lambs wool.
Nicky and Rebecca- can I add you both, eventhough I am not from bendigo?? :p. Its funny that you are on par with ballarrat, cause thats where I keep thinking you are both from..... baby brain.
Mel-no contraception forme here yet, we've used condoms, but thats it so far- will ask my ob tomorow at my checkup. I dont really want much as I am enjoying no hormones from being on the pill for so many years. Dont want anything long term also as we are planning on 2/3 more bubbas (aaron said well stop at 4 if we dont have any boys before then)!!! I am hopping number 3 will be a boy... but thats a long time away.
V- yeah on the wedding plans... it is so exciting.... next year will be a bit of a bummer and wont top this year off.... the birth of beautiful Avaleigh and your wedding.... goodluck with the rst of the plans.
Well best be off now- have to bath Kaetlyn, bath me, express and then head out for my 'pampering' of full body massage and facial (MIL baby shower present). She was ment to baby sit but I couldnt get in for ages on a sat and the voucher expired yesterday  will have to go out again soon so she can sit for us.
BTW- Kaetlyn is 2 months old today:D:D
She is growing oh so quickly
Oh almost forgot, with aaron on dummy duty last night I got to sleep about 11  which is early for me cause I usually get to bed about 12-1 waiting until she is alseep before I head to bed myself. She woke up at 6am:p:p for her feed.
-
hey sara, yeah sure u are more than welcome to add me to msn.. and that goes for anyone:)
I have had a little bit of success, Lach settled himself before, and slept for half an hour. he's woken up again tho:(
hehe
I am jealous of all u girls having already DTD... I am much much to scared!!! lol!!
I think it will be another 6 weeks before we even attempt it here!!!
lol

:cry::cry: Aaron just said that we both need to go on the Tony Fergerson Diet again :cry::cry:
I think I will join the gym tomorrow even though cant really afford it at the moment :(
-
Hey everyone! I am still around!!
Been very busy and have a little one in my arms so will post later but just thought I would let you know Nicky & Bec that I added you to Msn.
-
Hey everyone,
Nicki - it's good that the co-sleeping is working for you. And fingers crossed that Lachlan's feeding techniques improve soon too, cos it's sooo frustrating otherwise.
V - the wedding stuff is so exciting. It must have been so much fun to have had your sister over there when you were trying on dresses. Can't wait to see the sneaky photos!
Sara - the weight issue is so hard. I need to lose quite a bit too (which in fairness, is pre-pregnancy issues), but also can't afford a gym membership. Although at this point in time, not sure how I'd get to the gym anyway, Liam's routine is so non-routine it would be impossible. We just try to get out for a walk when I can, even if it's just to the supermarket.
Well, Liam has finally cracked 5kg, so I have officially graduated him to the next size up in nappies. Which is working quite nicely for him, so far no where near the poo escapes as we've been having with the Newborn size nappies. The bad news is that the paed confirmed infant eczema, and it's spread quite a bit over the last couple of days. He has one really angry spot on his left temple, which just doesn't seem to be reacting to anything I put on it - so far have tried Dermaveen & Dermeze. It's so frustrating, because I know from personal experience that finding something that will fix it can take ages & a lot of trial and error. And it looks awful, although doesn't appear to be bothering him too much at this stage, which is a good thing.
Anyway, he's yelling now, so I'd better go & play the "guess what Liam wants" game. It should be food, given that he's just woken up from a 2.5 hour sleep and really only stuffed around with food this morning, so should be starved, but true to form, he just plays with the boob & then screams until I sit him up. It's an exhausting game, and not that much fun for either of us.

HI all,
Good on you guys who have DTD - very jealous in deed. I am a long way off...considering I just had a bit of scar tissue burnt off yesterday....hurt like hell!!! So that is another week, plus i am still having the pulling down feeling and can't stand for that long.
Just a quickie as Olivia is stirring but want to ask some questions.....are any of your bubba formula fed? Olivia is...I still give her a bit of breast milk but weeding. Well she throws up so much formula!! She will take 200ml cause if I try to give her less she cracks it. But I had her sitting up for ages at all day feeds and she just keeps throwing up!! Breast milk is not too bad (makes it harder for me the fact I am weening).
Also, what are some of your feeding times? Olivia goes from 8/8:30pm - 5am; 5am-8:30/9:00 and 3 1/2 hours from then. But at her age (11weeks) should I be making sure she eats every 4 hours and not 3 1/2? But then if I do that I can't get her to eat before 8:30 and DH and I like to have her in bed by then IYKWIM???
Sorry self obsorbed post today, been at the hospital with this thing so no time to read a lot of posts...but still you go girls DTD LOL

hey everyone!
Another busy day for us. We went to the Perth meet today. It was fun! Nice and sunny and the park we went to had an awesome play ground! Got a bit of a headache cause didnt really eat or drink much today. Planning to relax the rest of the day.
Avaleigh slept from 10pm - 5.30am!! An awesome sleep I think. I did need to express after her feed this morning and got a whopping 160mls
oh my head hurts even more.. I am going to lay down, I hope avaleigh goes to sleep!

Hi everyone,
Just checking in, will be back later too catch up.
But quickly, Flossie, every 3.5 hours is fine I think on formula. I'm not sure as I 5didn't use formala for Charlize until she was about 5-6 months old. She is sleeping great guns though, so I would just keep going with what your doing, it sounds as though your doing a great job.
-
Hi all,
I did a big post at the end of the last thread so this is just a quicky from me.
Flossie like Mel said it sounds like you are doing the right thing with Olivia. I am feeding Charlotte every 3 - 4 hours during the day and then she sleeps thru the night before I feed her again. Our routine goes something like this feed 6.30pm in bed and asleep by 7.00pm then I give her a quick 5 minute feed at 9.30pm where she doesnt wake up then she goes until some where between 5 and 6am when I feed her again and then I go roughly 3 - 4 hourly after that. Our routine is quite fluid in that some times I feed her early sometimes she goes a bit longer it just depends on what we are doing.
Mel - I have been meaning to ask you how Charlize eczema is? We got our special cream in the post a couple of days ago and I cant really tell yet if it is making any difference to the boys skin. I know one thing - we are alomst through the jar already so if it does happen to help we are going to go through it really quickly!
V - big big yay for Avaleighs sleep.
Hi everyone else

Jem, that cream did pretty much nothing for her eczema. But it was really really bad at the time I started to use it. She is on her second tube of a really low dose steroid cream, and just recently I have started to notice a difference. It's still there just not as dry and scabby, just red and still a little rough to tough. It still itches her though, but I think that might be more out of habit than it being itchy IYKWIM. My doc said once I have used the second round of cream, that the natural creams should be enough to keep under control, I hope so. I did find another cream on the internet called XMA. It comes with a 100% money back guarantee, so I though what the hell, we have nothing to loose apart from the eczema, so will try this one as well. Have the boys ever tried using the low dose steroid cream? I was a little worried to use it at first, but I thought it's better than her suffering so much. Still worries me though, but my doc said that it's the lowest strength cream there is.
Flossie, Jack's routine is all over the place ATM while he is sick. But usually he is like this. Feed at 7pm, bath at 8:30pm, feed at 9:30 then bed, wake between 4-5am feed, sleep until approx. 6am then feed every 2-4 hours during the day, depending how much of a gusts he wants to be. I think he may be going through another growth spurt ATM as he is wanting to feed every 2 hours, and is waking at 3am instead of around 5am, but I think his cold is the reason for this.
Veronica, glad to hear you had a fun day at the park. What a great sleep Avaleigh had, what a clever girl.
Hi to everyone, not much time tonight.
On a selfish note, I got antibiotics today for Jack and I, so hopefully we will be on the mend soon. I don't want to give them too him, I just don't want him to suffer any longer.
We are going shopping tomorrow for alot things for our new house. There is alot we need to get, as we are going from a 2 bed to a 5 bed house, and we are leaving behind our tele, entertainment system and fridge. So watch out shops here comes Mel, I sooooo love to shop, but who doesn't.

Hi all,
Nicki, Xavier is being so clingy latley that this morning I brought him to the computer with me and read all the post out to him to keep him quite.
Sara, of course you can add me to MSN, all are welcome too, i'm not fussy I don't mind where you live  I'm so jealous of your massage, sounds great and yay for your big sleep. So what time did katelyn and your hubby get to sleep though?
Hi danielle, glad to hear your still around. I was hoping the danielle I accepted was someone I knew:lol:
Jan & Sara, I can't spare $$ for gyms, but I'm not that comfy going to one either. I'm just trying to get out of the house for a walk every day. I figure it's good for the psychie (sp) as well, and a bit of fresh air can't be bad for Xavier.
Good news on liam cracking the 5kg, bugger on the eczema, I heard somewhere that dairy in your diet can affect eczema, does any one know how true this is??
Flossie, ouchy you poor thing, I'm sure at the end of it all everything is going to be super!! Sorry were not using formula and a few weeks younger too so I'm no help there, and I am demand feeding as well, all I know is that formula feeding is generally more structured. But I agree with mel, sleeping is fantastic at your house, dare I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it??
Veronica, yay 7.5 hours next stop 8!! Good job.
Well our day consisted of babysitting my 2 nieces. My sis was only gone for about an hour or so, so the younger one was aslepp thank god!! I just had to contend with a 3 yo who wanted to watch shrek 2 but wouldn't sit still :wall: then wonders why she hurt herself when she was being silly. Oh well, Xavier was mesmerized by her and gave her some big smiles when she stroked his head. she was very gentle, i think it might have tickled.
well night all, Xavier went to bed at about 8 so fingers crossed he keeps on with his big sleeps and we don't here from him till 3 at the earliest, I'm hoping for hmm 5 would be nice.

Mel - we have tried a steriod cream on the boys. We saw a dermatologist for Oliver nearly a year ago and I have made another appointment with him in a couple of weeks time as I just cant seem to keep it under control. I cant remember the name of the cream the dermatologist prescribed as we have only recently run out. Let me know how you go with the XMA cream. Like you I am willing to try anything! I hope the antibiotics make you and Jack feel better really really quickly - being sick is awful isnt it. Lucky you going on a shopping spree for your new house. Have fun and spend up big!!

Hi everyone
Wow, this thread is busy today! I haven't had time to post recently as I have been busy with study (handed in an assignment tonight - hope I pass - its so hard with baby brain).
This evening I put Diana in her rocking chair, turned on a Harry Potter DVD and left her to it. She watched it fascinated for about an hour before falling asleep! It enabled me to get the dishes done. Yay. Nicki - if Lachlan has a chair that you can sit him in, maybe this will work for you too (although Diana is a little older, so maybe not yet...) Have you tried carrying him in a sling while doing housework? It works for me sometimes...
Anyway, I am going to update Diana's site now. Hope you all have a good night. BBL.

OMG - I feed Liam at 9pm last night, he was in bed by 10, AND HE"S STILL ASLEEP!!! He is a little gem. Mind you, I've been up at 1am, 3am, 5am to check if he's still breathing, but not a stir from him at all. I've come down with the horrid cold that seems to be going around, so maybe he knew something was up & decided to give me a break. Either that, or he's sick too (which is probably more likely, given his dependency on me), guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. My bosoms are about to explode though, so just sterilizing the expressing stuff so that I'm ready to go. woo hoo - here's hoping it's the start of something regular!
-
Jan - YAY for the massive sleep!! Lets hope that it does turn in to something regular. Avaleigh is having massive sleeps so maybe Liam is starting too!!
Avaleigh had a massive feed yesterday at 6pm, she had both sides plus 40mls from a bottle and I think she could have had more too! She ended up sleeping from 7pm to 3am  LOL I wish she did that from 9 or 10pm. I tried waking her up at 10pm for a 'dream feed' but NOPE she didnt want to have anthing to do with it! I then woke up at 2am to see if she was awake or still breathing.
Well better get a move on and have some breakfast and out for a nice morning walk!

Hi everyone...hope you are all well. From the sounds of it, everyone's bubs are sleeping for good lengths so that is great :) Alessia has had good sleeps 2 nights in a row, so I'm hoping it continues. We had the obstetrician and paediatrician appts yesterday and all is well, although b/c I have a low milk supply, it seems that Alessia's weight gains aren't enough (in case she gets sick). So the paediatrician has recommended I take Maxalon to boost my supply...we'll see what I do. It's got me down a little bit, but I'm sure I'll get through this.
We still haven't DTD yet...wanted to wait til yesterday's checkup and then last nite, I was zonked. So Flossie, don't worry hun...you're not the only one!
Take care everyone *hugs*
