Happy 1st Birthdays to Jessalyn & Kynan
Hope you both have a wonderful day and Mummy`s too.
Angel - Matthew had his vacs yesterday, she asked if he was walking as if he was she`d have to put them into his arms but when they aren`t they go into their thighs, she also thought he was very late walking as I got a reply "Most 12 month babies are walking", going by this thread of babies that isn`t the case except for Hannah and Mason no one else is walking are they???? So I was a bit annoyed by her comment, otherwise like Kynan Matthew started screaming at the nurse before she came near him LOL She also said he`ll get sick in 7 - 10 days time, were you told that?
Rails - Yay for Jesse having a bite free day at childcare. Re the name I just wanted bubs to have an individual name not one that belonged to his Uncle IYKWIM, it`s also going to be a name of an actor which I can see I`m going to get so many comments oh did you name him after so and so...... but as I said the name is slowly growing on me plus I don`t want to be the one who prevents Mark naming his son the name he wants, I`ll just feel guilty if I didn`t go along with it, it`s a nice enough name anyway.
Someone asked about juice - Matthew gets it occasionally, when we happen to be out for lunch and have to grab lunch on the run he`ll have some orange juice otherwise I perfer him to have water.
-
Dee - Alex has been sick for the last week or so with a runny nose i forgot it could be because of his neddles on his birthday. They said the same to me that he might get ill and to watch him.
Alex is still not walking i think he likes to be lazy.
-
Deeanne, I thought 12 months was on the early side to be walking LOL. Our CHN said normal was anywhere from 12-18m. GP never mentioned anything about getting sick in a week or so?! Eeeks! Did anyone elses bub get sick?? He never asked whether Kynan was walking or not before he gave the needles either. Maybe you got an odd nurse LOL.
Oh hey, I was sitting with Kynan in the waiting room at the doctor's and I was clapping my hands playing with him and guess what... he started trying to clap his hands!! Clever boy! What an achievement, and on his birthday too!
-
Hey
:happybirthday: JESSALYN
:happybirthday: KYNAN
Well have not stopped driving today it seems, had so much running around too do
Have all mason's presents for tommorow and just have to pick up a cake tommorow but it will just be a sponge from woolies, nothing out there, just having a family dinner for him and cake after, got the hats and blowers for Luke's benifit though :)
Oh seen doc today, fundal height is good even though i am not really showing, heard the heartbeat and got scan referal form, booked in for 5th June as they wouldnt see me before 19wks at this centre, good thing is it will be a 3d scan and they take video and pics, so excited about that bit, worth the extra few days wait anyways
-
:happybirthday: TO MASON , JESSALYN & KYNAN !!!!!! Hope you all had a WONDERFUL DAY :)
I never got asked if Jesse was walking when he got his vacs & they put the needles in his arms ? ...they said that they usually give them in the arm for the 12mo. Also, Jesse had his needles 4 days before his birhtday & they were debating about giving them as they said it has just been encouraged to have them after the b'day. Yeah, most bubs on this thread are not walking yet, which makes me feel good as my neice & nephew where both walking before 12mo (one at 9mths) but i have a few friends that said that their kids were between 12-18mo also ....so that nurse should know better ! I was told that Jesse would get sick also & probably get a rash & that it was normal. He came down with a cold 2 days later ? .... not sure if it was related to the vacs or it was from low immunity form teething ??
Angel - YAY @ the clapping ... well done Kynan, what a nice pressie for mummy !
Jesse has been good nothing to report here ... slept thru again last night, which was nice. He is eating better again .... OH almost forgot ... Jesse ate his own sandwhich by himself yesterday without my help ... !!!! ... has taken me ages to get him interested to feed himself ... he is starting to show interest in the bowl & stuff too which can be a bit messy but i don't mind as long as he is learning. He is very proud of himself too which is soooo cute to watch. Guess i did have something to report hey LOL !!
-
Thanks Rails :)
And thats interesting about them walking and where they put needles, i must ask when i take mason next week for them, really not looking forward to it at all, but guess nobody has or is!
-
Happy Birthday, Mason!!
Belinda, glad to hear the PG is going well. Yay for the 3D scan. That will be so cool!
Rails, that's great that Jesse is starting to sleep through consistently now. And woohoo for him eating a sandwich by himself!
Got Kynan's birthday party on Sunday so I'm busy getting stuff ready... baking etc! Kynan's loving all his pressies so far. Oh and I discovered a snack he likes - Bellamy's organic apple snacks. They're just dried apple pieces, but organic so no preservatives or anything.
-
Just popping in quickly to wish Mason a very happy 1st Birthday.
Take Care
Dee
-
YAY :happybirthday: Mason, Jessalyn & Kynan!!
Angel, good luck with the party on Sunday, and to the other mummies too, missed if all having parties or not?
When Jackson had his vaccs he had one in each arm and then one in the leg, so he had bruises all over. They never asked if he was walking.
Dee, are you going to keep us in suspense forever, do we have to wait till bubs arrives to hear the name? I hate waiting, spill it, please please please:pray:
Rails, yay for Jesse eating his sanga all on his own, what a good boy, isnt it great when they do something that you have been waiting ages and ages for, is so exciting!
Well, Jackson woke up today all grown up. He said "baby" for the first time, started walking with his hungry hippo without us holding on, started standing for at least 5 seconds on his own, and decided to sprout an eye tooth, I have no idea what happened to him in his sleep last night, but hoping it slows down a little tonight, I am not ready for any more growing up!
-
Happy Birthday Mason.
Hope you had a lovely day.
MIn that is so sute Jackson doing all that in one day.
Alex has started to stand a little more longer on his own as long as he is busy holding something in his hands he doesn't mind doing it. Still not sure if he will be walking soon but he loves to walk holding your hands and pushing something along. Kimberley was walking at this age but i don't mind waiting a little longer.
-
Thanks for birthday wishes for Mason girls :)
And Min i have to agree its making me think what is the name lol
Mason doesnt look 1 at all though, he is doing stuff above and beyond what i expect milestone wise but look wise he still looks so little really.
He had a good day, and was so excited when we sang happy birthday that he clapped and yelled and jumped around, he thought it was just great lol, glad i got it on video :)
My parents leave tuesday morning, shame my mum misses out on the scan but too long for them to stay and wait it out, i have told DH he should go though as i think it will be cool to see, so he will have day off or try and get out of work early that day hopefully.
Michelle: Yah Alex giving it ago and yeah when he is ready he will go off, so enjoy it while you can i guess
I am hoping for a later walker next time i think lol, although one advantage of them walking early is there clothes arent always on the ground and getting dirty.
-
LOL, I agree with that, Jackson always ends up with a brown stomach and knees, especially when we go to my mum's house with the polished floorboards!
-
Angel - Hope your all having a good time today with Kynan`s party.
Min - Wow Jackson certainly did grow up overnight. Yes I think I`m going to keep you all in suspense LOL
Belinda - That would be an advantage of them having clean clothes, Matthew loves going outside and considering we don`t have any grass he`s crawling around on dirt, he gets so dirty then I pick him up and I get covered in it too.
Rails - My MCHN told me they like the babies to have had their first birthday before getting their needles.
Re the walking, my Doula came in on Thursday and got all excited when Matthew was cruising around the furniture (she did that last time too) and mentioned he`ll be off soon - I then reminded her that Matthew has been cruising like that since he was 9 months and I thought he`d be well and truly walking by 12 months but he`s not interested in going any further.
Then that afternoon Matthew took 3 steps a number of times all on his own, he did take one step once just before his Birthday but nothing since until Thursday so maybe we might be closer to walking, he loves standing up beside the beeanbag then throwing himself onto it, he`s been doing that for a number of weeks and thinks it`s hiliarious.
Have had a few restless nights with Matthew, I`m guessing it`s to do with his vaccinations, he`s also annoying his gums again, it`s where his top left eye tooth will be coming so it must be on it`s way down, that will be tooth #13 for him once it`s through.
Hope your all well.
Take Care
Dee
-
Yah at Matthew taking them few steps :) Clever boy. The Doula must of give him the edge lol, kids never listen to the parents but will to everyone else, he is just starting this earlier than most :)
Well we just went to river today with Luke's cub scouts for him to earn his fishing badge, was ok and really beautiful day on the water, boys have all gone fishing and me, mum and mason come home, hopefully mason will be napping shortly.
Take care
-
Angel - Those organic apples are great aren't they ... Jesse loves them. Hope the party was good with no dramas.
Min - Jesse got that gobble hippo for his birthday too from my sisters ... he thinks he's top stuff when he walks with it LOL !! ... & YAY for Jackson standing tall for 5 secs, whoohoo !!!
Michelle - sounds like all our little ones are doing the same thing (except for a few that are walking) ... hope your having a good day.
Dee - YAY @ Matthew finally taking a few steps .... hope the eye tooth doesn't cause too many probs for ya i've heard those ones can be pretty bad when they come. I'm gonna have a stab at the name lol .... is it Harrison ???? (i have a friend with a boy named that, i love it)
Belinda - How cute with the fishing badge for Luke. How are you feeling, must be good to have your mum there even if it is for a few days.
I have started cutting up Jesse's meat , veges & pasta, he is doing ok with it, you have to be very patient don't you, takes ages to feed him now...with the meat, some bits he swallows some just stays in his mouth for ages LOL ... last night about an hour later i said to dh ... i think he has something in his mouth .. so i checked & pulled out a soggy gooey piece of meat  ... he had just kept it in his mouth all that time !!!!
-
Rails - LOL @ Jesse keeping his meat in his mouth. Alex won't let us feed him anymore other than his breakfast. We just put his food on his tray to the high chair and he helps himself. Yep we get lots on the floor but it's better than fighting with him.
Hope the party went well Angel.
-
Rails: I am feeling pretty good, getting impatient for scan on Monday though, but at least its only a week away i guess :) Still have a stronger feeling that its a boy but i dont know if i am just thinking that to get myself prepared for its a boy lol
Mason is either way with feeding, happy to feed himself or be fed, he is walking around now with damper and syrup on it, seems to be liking it
-
Dee - no fair!! I don't know how you could keep it secret that long, I won't be able to keep the next one's name a secret, well, I have already blabbed, I would burst!! Yay at matthew starting to to take a few steps, Jackson is so close, he stands alone fo quite a while, so I dont think it will be long
Had MCHN app today, Jackson weighs 9.375kg, and is 74.5cm, who was it saying they had a littlen, I think it was Angel, I have a littlen too, she said he is perfectly in proportion, so all is good. He is doing everything he should be and she was amazed at his vocab and understanding of words. clever boy!
-
Mum took Mason for his needles today, i was a chicken and didnt go lol
He wieghs 10.5kgs, spookily the exact same wieght as Luke at 12mths
No idea of height and stuff, have to find my tape measure
-
Hi Girls - WE had an awful day yesterday, you can read more about it in the punching bag threads but very quickly Matthew had an allergic reaction yesterday which caused his face to swell plus his left eye was so swollen it was completely closed, he was also a bit wheezy, it took 5.5 hours at the hospital before anyone saw us, even with him vomiting which only caused patients in the waiting room to laugh Grrrr. As you can imagine I was terribly worried and now I`m so concerned next reaction will be worse, we`re 30 minutes away from the nearest hospital too which doesn`t help in an emergency.
I`ll be back later.
Take Care
Dee
-

-

-
Hey girls,
I'm back.had a reason for being MIA this time, over in W.A for brotherin laws wedding, it went well and im glad its over now we can concentrate on finishing settling in and stuff.
happy birthday to Kynan, Mason and Jessalyn hope they had great days (sorry if i missed anyone)
Chloeis very clsoe to walking now yay, she took her kind of first step if you can even count it LOL over in W.A she was standing watchin tv and then she stepped but fell straight down on her bum poor thing.
felt like a really bad mum tonight I was in tears, as i was putting ehr into ehr highchair i didnt notice her leg bent backwards untill she screamed, so I took her out and her foot swelled up pretty bad and she wouldnt straighten her leg, we checked for breakages as i kinda panicked but she calmed down within about aminute and ate her dinnerso the afterhours ppl said not to worry it cant be broken as she wouldve still been screaming.and shes probly sprained it,just to keepan eye on it and the swelling has gone down already but still I was very upset kept hugging her and apologising, shes nowinbed and I keep checking on her every 5 mins
anyway better be off to bed been a very long plane trip today so will bbl
Lesley
-
Great to see you back Lesley amd Chloe.
WooHoo on Chloe nearly walking. Hope her leg will be okay.
-
thanks michelle.
Chloe is still not using her leg properly, she does crawl around still but on an awkward angle and lifts her foot off the ground and just puts all her weight on her knee, then when she stands up shes still standing on one foot.
I just rang and made a urgent docs appointment at 930am but now im worried coz checked the bank and dont have enough funds for the bill :( im hoping when i get in there that they'll say its ok to pay tomorrow which is pay day.my friend said shes done that before so im hoping I can do it aswell, I think just the cost of the bill goes up by $5 - $10
had the worst sleep last night, chloe was up every 2 hours after id put her back to bed after being up for an hr at a time.
I really hope shes ok :( im so worried about her
-
If you can't afford the Dr's then maybe take her to the hospital it may be a bit of a wait but at least they will xray it and you will know for sure nothing is wrong.
Hope she sleeps better for you tonight. The trip back from WA and her leg being sore may have kept her awake.
Alex was so cute this morning DH was holding his hand and walking with him. I said it Alex it's not to hard to doon your own and he said No and shock his head at the same time.
-
Michelle - i missed the announcement also ... sorry .... congratulations !! ... how exciting ...wow there are a few pg now - you are outnumbering us. Hope it all goes well for you. How cheeky of Alex to shake his head LOL !
Belinda - LOL @ sending your mum with the needles, you are a big chkn ... hope your little man is ok.
Dee - sounds like you had an awful day ... (still have to catch up in punching bag) ... hope you find out what the reaction was from, how scary.
Min - Jesse is around the same weight & height as Jackson, so compared to all the others i thought he was a littlen too .... MHN did say all was good to me too, so not worried.
Lesley - hope little Chloe is on the mend now for you. Don't beat yourself up too bad, these type of things will happen all the time.
Have a sick little boy here too .... Jesse has conjunctivitis .... his poor eye was soooo puffed up yesterday was like he had been in a bar fight ... the swelling went down & his eyelashes were all glued together & stuff ...has now spread to both eyes... yuk .... poor bubby ... his nose is running like a tap again ... he is chesty .... took him to the doctors & he gave me some eye drops (which is a massive ordeal to give) & have to bathe his eye thru the day. He is not sleeping well either, tossing & turning all night ... he just looks miserable ...his eyes are all red & he is teething as well, Oh to top it off he is hardly eating too.....:boohoo: :boohoo:
-
Rails: i hope that all gets better there soon, sounds horrible!
Mason was fine after needles a little unsettled that day but ok overnight really and fine ever since, so happy about that of course
Having an i dont feel pregnant day, hate them days!
Hope the docs went well Lesley :)
Hope you are well today Dee :)
-
Hey, how many needles did your bubs have to have for their 12 month vaccinations. Kynan had one in each leg but it sounds like some of your bubs had more than 2?!?
Deeanne, woohoo for Matthew taking his first steps on his own!! OMG @ the allergic reaction. How terrifying for you! Huge hugs!!
Min, I took Kynan to the CHN yesterday and he's the exact same length as Jackson! Kynan put on heaps more weight than I expected though - 9.88kg with nappy on!
Lesley, hugs! Hope Chloe's leg is better soon.
Rails, geez sounds like lots of the May bubs aren't doing to well at the moment LOL. Hope Jesse gets better soon. Kynan had conjunctivitis when he was a few months old... those eye drops certainly are a PITA to get in!
Kynan's birthday party went well apart from him falling over. He was cruising around the coffee table and went to grab the corner but grabbed a pressie that was on the table instead. He tumbled over backwards, banging his head on the floor and biting his tongue. Poor baby ended up with a mouthful of blood. A bit of boobie made him feel much better (although he did make a funny face at the bloody taste of the milk LOL!). We got him a walker to push along for his b'day pressie so he loves cruising around with that now.
ETA: Birthday pics up on Kynan's site for anyone who's interested!
-
Alex had 3 needles when he has his done.
Ouchie @ biting his tongue when Kynan fell over.
ETA: Alex has the same hat and top as Kynan. I love his birthday cake. They are smashing pictures Angel he is one lovely little boy.
-
Lovely pics Angel :)
And ouch at the fall
Mason also had 3 needles
-
Angel - Poor Kynan with the fall, glad the party went well otherwise. Matthew also had 3 needles.
Lesley - Hope Chloe`s okay, there are a couple of bulk billed places around and you also have your after hours GP service at Maitland Hospital.
Rails - Poor Jesse being sick, his eyes sound awful, I hope he`s feeling better soon, poor little mite.
Hi to Michelle, Min, Belinda and Juliette - Hope youe all doing okay.
Matthew was back to himself by yesterday afternoon, thank goodness. The swelling of his face didn`t subside until overnight on Monday, he is still very blotchy and his ezcema has flared up, which is understandable. Will be taking him to the Dr`s and asking for a referral to a specialist, I need to know the exact cause, I`m so scared of everything he eats now as from previous experience with my MUm food allergies get worse and he`s was bad for a first reaction. Also petrified of leaving him with MIL when I have bubs in case she gives him something which triggers the allergy, I`ve always been worried about leaving him with her but now I`m 100 times worse.
The reaction has totally rattled Mark and nothing usually rattles him, he just couldn`t believe what he was seeing.
Matthew is taking so many steps towards me all on his own and now when he pushes his bike along he does it one handed, he`s so clever, it`s only a matter of time now before he`s off and there`ll be no catching him.
I had another scan today as I`ve had 2 leaks in the last 12 days, the leaks have been running down my leg, bubs is fine with a good amount of fluid so that`s good and HE is still a HE, even though it took him a while to find something LOL
Take Care
Dee
-
LOL at them taking awhile to find something, must of had you thinking for a minute :)
I understand your concerns about MIL but really if there was an emergency of some sort she isnt going to risk Matthew's health, ppl do the right thing when needed
Really glad that Matthew seems back to normal though and hope you can get the referal, certainly would be horrible not knowing whats causing it!
Take care and try not too worry so much that you make yourself ill, things do work out in the end
