Hi I have missed catching up in here ... been working at/from home on our own business appaerwork in between raising and loving my two cheeky monkeys. I need to read through the last thread ...;)
-
Roya - YA! Glad you two are TTC.
Trish - Good luck catching up. I gave up. I always intend to when I go AWOL from posting in here, but when I finally sit down to do it, it just proves too much. lol.
-
hello all
Well Its time for me to say good bye- I am having some trouble on this site as my SIL is on BB and its just not working having family on here, so i am going.
Thank you all so much for the last year and half, its been great sharing it with all of you.
You are all welcome to email me on kmareehowell@hotmial.com.
Thank you

Not much happening here. Cooper is not self-settling much and there's a lot of screaming happening at nap time. Not much fun at all!
He's very fussy eating as well. I don't think he's eating much at all. Might go and have him weighed soon.
Buseykel – OMG Kelly, congratulations!!!
kmh – See ya around!!! Thanks for your email address.
Dustmite – Sounds like you had a lovely time with your daughter.
RoyaUK – Sarina sounds just like Cooper with sleeping at the moment. Cooper usually wakes at 5.00 am for a feed but for the last few days it has been 4.00 am or 4.30 am. We then both sleep for another 2 hours or so.
Good luck with self-settling! We're having a week where it's NOT happening!
Baby-amore – Glad to hear from you! I'm sure you're very busy with your boys!
-
good to hear we are all normal ...with no self settling
they are also refusing to settle for naps ... they stand in the cot and talk to each other , pull on the mobile ,peg everything out, -including the dummies. Joel usually wants his to sleep so I have to keep going in to lie them down and cover them up ...only to do it all aagin in 5 mins. Sometimes one will cry and set the other off ... or one goes to sleep and the other starts screaming so I have to get him up. They are so cheeky when I tell them off and I can't but smile - so much for putting my Mrs Potatoe head 'cross' face on.Gets me nowhere.
I am still feeding overnight too.
We have no teeth here at all but they love to poke their fingers in my mouth and feel mine LOL - I check them everyday.
S & J are crawling, pulling to stand on everything -including each other so we have lots of tumbles and crash landings with a heavy thud - with that long silence where you run to them and the almighty scream that follows.
congrates Bubsykel - they will have alot of fun together being close.
-
kmh - sorry to see you moving on, but I can understand. good luck
-
Trish - Oooh I hate those long silences before the massive scream!
-
Hi all...well haven't been around for a while, cause we are still tackling those dreaded winter flu bugs!!! Ky just can't shake it. Have been to the Dr 3 times in 3 weeks. Ended up putting him on antibiotics for his ears and he is hopefully now improving....trouble is he is so used to being held now, that he doesn't like to be put down!! In saying that, he is finally on the move!!! Yay, he is doing the hermit crab crawl...but he is off, and so much less frustrated. It's taken him a while, but he is so proud of himself...so cute!
Glad to hear your return to work went well Mads. I know my day is coming soon, but I just don't want to do it. There is so much to organise with 3 kids that it is easier if I do it myself. I know where they have to be and when, and I don't want to rely on others to get it right! I am such a stresspot.
By the way...there is now way I am TTC....well, ever again!! It's funny how you finally come to that point where you know you have exactly what you want. I still get clucky when I see tiny babies, but now I know that I sure don't want another one!
Good luck to you all that are TTC....It is really nice to have 2 close together.
Must run

Well I finally got Cooper into a childcare centre. I'm going to start taking him next week. We can pop in together any day we like. Otherwise Tuesdays are free for me to leave him there. But as of 25 June he'll be there on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and I'll be back at work. Not really looking forward to it.
I'm not TTC either Mads! You're not alone!
Hayley - Glad to hear Ky is on the move. I bet he's having heaps of fun getting around.
-
no ttc here either ... we have 4 in our bed and there is nothing bouncing on our mattress but babies
-
Hi everyone,
It's very quiet in here at the moment. I haven't been around because i'm too tired! The last 2 nights Sarina has been waking 5 times a night - almost every couple of hours and i can only get her back to sleep by feeding. It's been nearly 6 months since she's slept through properly. I need sleeeeeeeeeep!:asleep:
She's still not eating solids properly and I'm starting to feel if I try to deny her a feed in the night whether it will make a difference to her day solid feeds but then I know she's hungry at night and it doesn't seem right....argh!
Plus, she's wanting to feed herself - grabs my spoon and tries to put it into the food bowl which of course goes everywhere. I don't mind this one bit and like her practicing but she refuses to let me feed her whilst she plays. Guess i should try more finger foods, perhaps that will help. Although it probably won't fill her up.
Any recommendations on filling finger food?
We're going on honeymoon on Sat for 10 days (to Queensland) and then in July i'm taking her for a 3 week trip to see the grandparents in the UK so wish me luck with all the time and routine changes!

Hi there I was wondering if I could join your group?
I already know Trish from another forum (Hi Trish, glad your boys are going well).
My name is Lollie, I am 23 years old and married with three children. Corey is 4 years old and Ethan and Shaiyan are 11 months old (born 4th July). I am also 35.2 weeks pregnant with another munchkin due on the 9th July. Going to be lots of fun :D
Anyways my twins to me are the most gorgeous little things and I enjoy spending as much time as I can with them. They are in the process of attempting to walk but they are still a bit hesitant to just let go and flee. Ethan has had 8 teeth since early April and Shaiyan had two and is now cutting another two (on the top).
Anything else I missed? If you have any questions or want to know more about me feel free to ask away - I'm not shy ;)

HERE are some pictures if anyone's interested. The link will take you to the 'home' page of my photobucket account and then you just click on the sub folder headings to go for a gander ;)

Coetshri - congrats!
So, an update on DW and I (and kids) - We are now all staying in my parents fifth-wheel on my in-laws property.....um, time will tell on that one :) . We are still trying to get the old place all emptied out. Still have found no job yet. The girls will be fine I think with the current living arrangement since there is another little girl that lives next door and they can play together. Corban is crawling all over, on the Verge of walking. He has taken a couple of steps a couple of times but otherwise is content to grab onto your fingers and take off walking that way. He has a nasty temper (probably from his mommy...LOL ;) ), and likes to get into everything.
The only other thing that has taken place is about a week or week in-a-half ago DW was in a lot of pain and felt like she had another UTI so she called her DOC and got a prescription for an antibiotic. Then two days ago she said she felt a sharp pain around her ovaries and then was concerned she might have a cyst. last night aunt flow arrived....LOL. Been so long that DW had no clue what was going on with her body..lol. So her early predictions of releasing an egg and a cyst were not even close and back when we were so stressed and not DTD she was fertile...LOL. But now we can actually chart and know what is going on with her body instead of guessing. Of course she has to first get through this monster cramping - the down side to not having a cycle for 20+ months!
-
it sure has been quiet around here lately...where is everyone??
Hi Coetshri, welcome to the group...I only rejoined a while back, but it's nice to see what everyone elses bubs are up to. I had a quick look at your photos and yes ypur kids are gorgeous!! And you're having another...you will be really busy! I have trouble keeping up with my 3.
Hi to everyone else. We are nearly all better now...after 4 weeks!! A small drama last weekend though with my 5 year old....the 2 girls were playing around on my bed and next minute blood everywhere!!!! The poor little thing had banged her mouth on her sisters head and knocked her bottom row of teeth all out of whack. We ended up at our local ED and they sent us to the major kids hospital in Perth where they took her to theatre and removed 3 of her teeth. Lucky they were just her first teeth, but she may still have problems with her adult teeth because of the damage to the gums. But the dentist was pretty sure she should be OK. It was very hard seeing your kid have and anaesthetic. Thankfully they are all otherwise healthy!!!! I couldn't imagine what some parents go through in that hospital.
Anyway, hope you are all well, and hope to hear from you soon

a fifth wheel is a camper trailer that usually has two axles (4 tires) but instead of connecting to a normal truck hitch (bumper location), hooks up to the truck inside the truck bed or truck box. Does that help at all? I think this particular brand is a jayco camp trailer/RV.

Hi all
It's been a busy few weeks recently. A few weeks ago I finally sorted out work. I will be returning on 25 June for 3 days (Mon-Wed). Not long after sorting that out, I finally got Cooper into a childcare centre. It's been quite stressful settling him in. We started last week. I've only left him for up to an hour. This week I will be trying to leave him longer. He had his first nap at daycare today. I'm feeling a bit better about it all as the centre and the carers seem really great. The first day I left him, he got very distressed but they called me straight away to come and get him.
It's such a fun age though. Cooper is now pointing at everything and making inquiring noises. Before he would just point his finger but now you can tell he's actually pointing AT things. If you ask him where the light is, he looks up to the ceiling and points. So cute. Today we were outside and he was pointing at birds in the sky. And on the weekend he picked up the remote control for the TV and started pointing it towards the TV! They take so much in!
He's mastered how to climb down from things now. He spent all weekend climbing down from the bed and couch on his own. It's so cute how he carefully crawls to the edge, turns around and then lowers his legs over the side. He's really got the hang of it.
Not sure when he'll be walking. He stills walks around pushing things like the walker on wheels, boxes, toys etc - anything that will slide along the carpet. He can still stand alone for 30 seconds or so but that's about it.
Roya – You'll be in wonderful Queensland at the moment! I hope you're enjoying yourself.
As for finger food, Cooper likes:
- steamed vegie pieces (carrot, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans)
- cucumer
- cheese
- sultanas
- Cruskits or rice cakes
- pasta spirals
- sandwiches
- banana
- mandarin
Lollie – Welcome to the group! Wow you'll definitely be kept on your toes with all your kiddies! How exciting.
Dustmite – How's Corban going? Walking yet?
Hayley – How scary about the teeth accident. I would have been so scared seeing all the blood. Hope everything is okay now.
Mads – Glad to hear being back at work is going okay. Not long until I'm back at work now!
-
AHHHH!!! stupid page logged me off and then when I tried to copy the original text and refreshed/logged in again and then pasted it, some how firefox or just my speedy mouse work failed to copy all of the text so now I am trying to re-add the first part of my reply while making it flow with the rest. If it does not flow, and something seems to be missing or out of place it probably is and I apologize in advance.
Corban is not yet walking on his own, he will almost run if you let him hold onto your fingers. He will walk himself along the edge of the couch or some other surface like a table, and sometimes he will stand up and not hang on to anything so I feel he is close to walking.
He like cars and trucks and will even make the sounds for them. It has been very interesting seeing the differences between him and his sisters. Watching both my girls over the years has allowed me to see the differences and similarities and I find the differences to be very obvious at times. He has a very big temper and has taken to screaming loudly just for the fun of it as well probably because his sister (my youngest daughter) has been teaching him. He very much wants to be able to go and play with his sisters. Poor little bugger :(
When he is done eating, if you don't get him out of his chair and cleaned up, he will take his food and even while looking intently at you, he will either hold his hand out over the side of his high-chair and then drop the food very deliberately onto the floor, or he will throw/toss his food. If he has water in his cup and is bored, he will dump it out and then smack it with his hands making water spray all over!
-
Hi all....hope everyone is well and all bubs are behaving themselves!!! It certainly sounds as if your bubs are all moving around alot more than mine, some will be walking very soon....watch out!!!
Can you believe they will be turning 1 very soon. I can't thnik what to get Ky for his birthday. We already have the big stuff like swings, slides, sandpits etc from the girls, so I was thinking maybe a train set or something.
Fee - good to hear daycare is getting better. How is the EBM in a cup going?? Does he cope without you for those feeds?
Rob - I so hear what you are saying about tossing food and drinks on the floor deliberately. It is funny watching them watch what they have just done. We are now giving Ky 1 thing at a time and waiting till he has finished that before giving him something else. I have learnt after cleaning the floor on too many occassions.
Phoebe's gums seem to be healing nicely, which is a relief. We have an appt with the specialist next week, so I guess we will see what she says. Hopefully her adult teeth will come through without any major probs.
Otherwise business as usual here...we are tackling 40 min nap times at the moment. Ky seems to think he only needs 1 of these a day!!!! Not enough, he is so grizzly by the end of the day. But on the plus side he is sleeping better at night. I guess you can't have it all!!!
-
hey girls
i just wanted to say hi and tell ya somw great news i brought bailee the cart that has the blocks in them any ways i stood him up to it yesterday and he took off he walked all by his self holding onto the cart he still wont walk on his own but if ya put something with wheels in front of him he is off yay

Hayley - I so hear you on the 1 year birthday. Just does not seem possible but then again, my oldest just turned 8 in April and my next to the oldest just turned 6 last week. Neither of which seems at all possible!
-
well Heidi and I had a nice mini anniversary celebration last night. went to the local grocery store and bought some fried chicken, jojo's, potato salad and Heidi surprised me with a mini-cheese cake and she also had found all of our weeding pieces (glasses, etc.) and so she surprised me with those to go with a bottle of wine. we went down to the river and sat on the bank, eating our dinner and just talking. Was surprisingly better than going out for dinner. Then we came back, played a game of scrabble.................... ;)
-
OK, aside from mum and ded (i assume dad) and some noise he makes for sister, corbans real first word...................DRUM ROLL PLEASE.............................
SPONGE BOB!
we are such horrible parents. I dont know what is worse, a swear word or sponge bob! oh well. and it really is sponge bob cause he says it when he sees a picture of sponge bob or can pick up something that has sponge bob on it. lol

Hi all,
I have a little girl Kyana born on the 27th July I was due in August but had her early due to some complications so I was always by habit going into the August forum but Prob s/b here so anyway, it all seems to have gone quite in there and I like to have a chat every now and then so I hope you don't mind if I come in and join you all in here from now on???
Thanks :)

Welcome. this thread gets really active then stops for a bit then real active again. So hang in there, there will be conversation and I know the others will be glad you joined our group!
-
Hiya Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around. No details but I lost my bubba so it's just the 3 of us still. I'm OK - just getting on with things.
Just thought I would update you - Danielle walked yesterday!!
I was at the hospital with my Oma and Mum. I walked back a bit and put my arms out for her to walk to me and she did!! About half a dozen steps!! And again last night she walked from me to Ken which was about 4 steps.
She's walking before she's one!!! I'm so proud of her!!
And my SIL is in labour (well Induced labour) at the moment. I want her to hurry up and have it!!
-
so sorry to hear about your "bubba" kelly. But ya for Danielle walking. Corban takes a couple steps here and there. Today he too 3.
-
well the little guy is gettig closer and closer to walkig all on his own. We can now sit back from each other and he will take 4 -8 steps probably (depending on how far apart we are) on his own. YA!
-
sorry about your little bub kelly  I am sorry you lost your baby.
congratulations on Danielle walking -how clever is she
my boys are one on Sunday and cruising the furniture but they were a month early so technically still 11 months developmentally. The paed is still correcting their age. Joel can walk behind a pushing toy (fisher price stride to ride) and Sam will crawl and push it - not that keen on walking.
I am in no hurry mind you once they off walking I will be chasing them in two different directions ... ourr twin playgroup has opened to eye to the fun and adventures ahead of me.
hi dd11 - welcome my babies were August 1 babies born 1st July. I ahven't checked august mums for a while.
Oh Lollie - welcome you are amazing ... any signs of the little one arriving early ?
Mads - Freya is so clever learning how to climb stairs and other things.
Dustmite & Mum of 2 beauties - my boys 'peg' (throw for you DM) food all over the floor too and anythign in reach onthe chnage table or even in the cot at sleep time. Most days we only have one lseep and it gets challenging about 4-5 pm when it is too late to nap and too early to bed but a very long arsenic hour ot two.
We are having a family/friends party (about 30 adults and 15 kids or more) on Sunday - the actual day of their birthday.
We are still breastfeeding too.Joel loves his tucker ...eats mostly our meals and everything.Sam eats like a 3rd world child by his own choice ... few grains of rice, now a few spagetti noodles, custard (main food) and puree fruit finally mixed with custard. I sneak yoghurt into custard now too and he ate some the other topped with fruit.
Still no teeth here ... not complaining but we have a feel very day ... they do mine too.
They are good little mates and now have started to laugh and squeal together when playing as well as scream and protest when someone takes a toy off the other or they are squashing each other crawling over the top.
got to go they are out of the pen and up to no good and waiting for breakfast.
-
Hello everyone, thanks for the welcome.
I hope you don't mind but i thought I might give fill you all in on some details for Kyana a kind of introduction I guess.
Kyana or Keeley (as she seems to be called more and more these days my 3 year decided her name (Kyana Lee) being first and middle names was "too long mummy" and abrieviated for us and now it's seems it's gonna stick) has turned 11 months this week and has shown us her little temper and complains whenever she doesn't get her way.
We've had some issues with Keeley but hopefully that's all behind us - cause I found lump on her and it has been tested and seems beniegn but the RCH are monitoring her every three months now until she's two. plus Kyana is an extremely fussy eater and most days I'm excited if I can breaky into her so I don't even know how she's put on any weight cause she was a chronic reflux baby and is on the bottle with special medicated formula and now I've also got to take her in for some allergy test thing at the childrens hosp in the gastro unit. Kyana's weight is 8.6kgs but I'm not sure if that's good or not she seems so little to me cause she walks and that's odd in itself but I guess it's ok - what are the weights of other babies in here?
Keeley has no teeth yet but has been waking at night so I'm sure their not far off. As I said before Kyana walks and has been since she was 8 months. Kyana crawled for about a week or two and then just got up and literally ran across the lounge room because she couldn't stand by herself so she had to run to keep herself from falling over - so I have an experienced walker on my hands now and she's not even one!
Well that's our story to now.
Kelly, congratulations on Dannielle walking you will have a whole new set of rules needed for the walking but I don't mind it I'm sure we just go with whatever stage our little ones are at and for me it's all good. Kelly, I hope it's ok for me to acknowledge but I would also like to say I'm very sorry for your loss.
Trish, Happy birthday to your boys hope you have a wonderful day on Sunday.
xxdd:)
-
Trish- happy 1st birthday to your boys
:happybirthday:
only 15 days to go my little man's first birthday
-
thank you dd31 (hi - I remember you in aug buddies) & Baiza - it has been a busy day but a great one, good weather, good friends and family to celebrate and excellent pressies ;) - but for the mess I could do it again  ... at least we have 12 months to recover.
dd31 - I hope Kyana is okay ...sounds scary to have a lump anytime. Sam is 9.5kgs and Joel about 10kg - I think we were due about same time. She is doing well to be walking.
Sam as I think I mentioned barely eats anything - except custard and a little f ruit finally. Chews on bits and pieces then spits it out or sweeps it out with his fingers ... over the floor.
well feeding finished and baby (Sam) asleep so no excuse to be here :( - DH will not be happy if I don't help !
-
Hi Everyone,
Haven't posted for ages (October!!)
Thought I would drop back in - hang on will have to come back later - Ben's crying - teeth!
Okay, he's back in bed.
Benny is 11 months old now. He has 5 teeth with one coming through. The buggers like coming down and going back up again! He has a head full of curly red hair which I won't let his dad cut (yet!)He has been sleeping through since 10 weeks (thankyou Goddess!) and is very easy going and placid. I've been trying signing with him for a few weeks and he just started clapping this week and I think he's trying to sign to me - but its mainly clapping and hand waving. He tells me when he can see flowers (sniffs) and this week he started dancing to music. He is so much fun that we are going again. Had my Mirena removed last Monday and it is day 10 of my cycle today...DH is predicting a March 08 bub. I'm not getting excited yet. I'll give it a few months before anything happens.
Anyhoo my plan is to try and post here once a week (at least). I am pretty busy with DS1 and Benny... muggins here opted for cloth nappies and as much as I feel good about it - I am getting sick of using the tumble dryer this week (it is finally raining)
I will try and catch up on the posts and what everyone is doing.
-
Hi everyone,
It's been a while since we've been on too - life just seems to be whizzing by!
Sarina will be 1 yr old on Saturday and we're having a nice afternoon party with some friends and DH said he will bake a cake!
She weighs 8.8kg now and has finally discovered food (started eating 3 meals a day at 10 months 2 weeks)!!! At last! She's still cruising furniture and not walking alone yet, but getting stronger.
She's had croup this last week and now given me a really bad cold so i'm feeling pretty low, dragging myself around the house and not really being much fun for her. Going to try to make some chicken soup to make myself feel better.
Hopefully better for next Monday as we're flying back to the UK for 3 weeks to let my mum & dad play with her. DH has to work though so he's going to miss us.
We have also just found out that Sarina will soon have a sibling! Bubba # 2 is due end of Feb/Beginning March 2008 - so a 20 month age gap. We're both really excited although didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
take care,
Roya
-
ya, congrats Roya on the up coming addition to the fam! Glad to hear Sarina is doing well and happy bday to her. I bet your parents are really looking forward to seeing you two for 3 weeks. My parents only live about 4 hours away but hate being away from their grand kids so much. Can only imagine a situation like yours.

Hi ladies,
Happy birthday to our bubbas! I'm so excited Kyana is turning one (I know it's at the end of the month) cause we're having a little family party for her it would be so nice to celebrate after the crappy year we've had. Kyana seems to be so happy all the time now she just smiles and giggles constantly. Kyana has just started to cut her first tooth - well two teeth really the bottom ones seem to be coming through together. She's hardly complained about it at all.
Thanks for the weight reassurance Mads. And wow Trish your boys are doing really well and yes I think from memory we were due at the same time. I can't believe a year has gone already and our bubbas are growing so fast.
I can't remember who said it but about Kyana's walking so early - it was abit freaky but I got used to it quickly - no dirty knees to contend with and she's a really good walker and runner I find it hard to catch her sometimes shes' so quick now - it cracks me up when I tell her it's time for her bottle and she follows me eagerly to her room and then I sit in the chair to get ready to feed her (cause she sometimes still likes me to give her the bottle - bit lazy but I secretly love it at times cause she's my last baby there's no more now) anyway, as soon as Kyana realises this is a bedtime bottle she turns around and does a quick bolt to the door to escape - they are such clever little people.
Cle - I too have been signing with Kyana and she knows pretty much most things but doesn't talk much just says MUM and TA but I signed with my other DD and she spoke very early.
Roya, congratulations, I have a 25month gap between mine and I thought it was too close but now that Kyana is starting to interact with her big sister it's great they get along really well and it's wonderful - I wish you well.
That's me for today - have a great day/week all.:)

ummm...HELLLO....did I scare everyone away....
