Sorry in advance for the me me me post, just feeling really awful at the moment.

I must be next on the list, but nothing happening!!!!

40 weeks today, prelabour contractions for 2 weeks now. The midwife tried to do a stretch and sweep yesterday, but said that my cervix is soft but not very favourable. They have booked me for induction at 40 + 4, but I am going to call today and postpone in until 41 weeks. I really want a natural birth. and induction terrifies me, especially the fact that he hasn't really engaged yet!!! This is the first time I have felt really anxious about the birth. I just imagined that I would have a story to tell...you know.....I went into labour at 3am blah blah, or that my waters broke in Target!! I know that you can feasibly wait until 42 weeks, but they have said that it is slightly risker at 40 years old.

I'm feeling very down and now just feel like it will never happen. Of course it has to, but it all just feels bizarre now. Where is my little boy????

Thanks girls for your warm welcome of Tara into the world. It is so comforting to know that she has so many cyber aunties looking out for her.

Murph: If you have any questions about your plan for the 29th and about a c/s feel free to ask anything as I want you to feel comfortable about your decision to get Jazzy here safely.

Neptune: Did the midwife advise of anything to possibly get things going for you. I really feel for you as I would be more scared of an induction compared to the c/s.

Just to let you all know that things are going well, on my recovery side of things I have recovered amazingly. I think having Tara early in the morning helped as it pretty much gave me an extra day of recovery. I felt a bit tired and spaced out after delivery (which is normal) but once in my room and after a sponge bath I started to feel more human. I had sensation back in my legs within 4 hours of delivery but was sitting up in bed once we were back from recovery. By Monday night I felt I could have got up from bed but couldn't due to the catheter still being in place. Tuesday morning was up and about, it was a bit sore getting out of bed but I think a lot of that was that I had to get blood circulating in my legs again. After my shower (which the midwives helped with) I felt much better and by Tuesday afternoon I was getting out of bed unaided with some discomfort, but still on my own. Yesterday I was able to shower myself and take over 100% care of Tara and today just feeling even better, especially now the dressing has been removed. Since Tuesday afternoon the only pain relief I have been on is panadol and voltaren (for the afterpains). So I should be going home on Saturday and hopefully my milk will come in today or tomorrow, although due to my low iron levels pre birth (which have dropped again since delivery) this can delay things so at the moment for feeding we give her a go at b/fing on both sides to promote letdown and we are supplementing with formula until my milk arrives.

So personally, I have had nothing but a positive birth experience with Tara and as mentioned due to other factors found at delivery I am happy I chose this option as it ensured she arrived safely. Finally just to brag, Tara's Apgar score at birth was 7, at 5 minutes was 9 and at her check this morning she got a 10/10. She is perfect, although I think I am a little biased.

oh neptune sending you big hugs! and i've just had a telepathic word with your little man - gave him a good lecture that everyone is waiting to meet him and he should get the hell outta his mumma! (preferably through the va-jay-jay way lol). Good on you tho for telling them to wait a few more days. you know once things start to happen they can go so quick. I know this probably doesn't help, but do try to relax - that will help you now too.

kelly d - we don't know if we have to have a c-sect or whatever yet. but i just wanted to thank you for sharing. I'm finding as i get closer I am really hanging off the words of the ladies who have been-there,done-that recently. I think talking like you have helps demystify the whole process. Like Murph, i'm extremely anxious about the prospect of a c-sect and really really really don't want one. so your story KellyD helps no end in realising it doesn't have to be a nasty nasty :) Ooooh, have baby cuddles for me ;)

bella - enjoy your massage love! i'm super jealous lol

well finished work for the day. am much better, thankfully. am sooo glad i'm part time as i'm pretty tired, so will be having a kip very soon.

Bella, pregancy massage sounds divine. I haven't spoilt myself with anything like that, trying to be a bit budget consious and saving for our Fiji trip. I hope I can indulge there. Will pop into the twin thread and see how you are doing.

KellyD, so glad to hear that your whole experience was a good one, and it is great to know that c/s doesn't have to be all bad in terms of post birth pain and recovery time. I hope your are enjoying your time with your lovely little Tara. Can you post pics? Big congrats again.

Neptune, big hugs, I don't have any advice I am afraid, sounds like your bubs is far to happy in your belly. I hope it works out the way you wish and he gets a wriggle on. Thinking of you.

Hi to everyone else, the posts don't go back that far so I can do any more persies.

AFM, am feeling heaps of movement now, it is so lovely, mosltly on the inside, DH tries to feel but hasn't yet. Still feeling good, though do find myself hanging out for the weekends and bach is getting a little achy. DH and I have some big plans, and have made a decision to finish off the renos and sell our house and down size to relieve the mortgage pressure, so have a goal to have it all done by Christmas. I am little scared of the possiblity that the house might sell and settle right when bubs come, not sure how that will all work out but will worry about that later. Now just counting down until our Fiji trip, then my baby shower, then finishing work, then Christmas and New Year, then...so many great things to look forward to.

I have updated the estimated due date list but as you can see, the formatting didn't transfer across so I'll have to come back and edit it :doh:

While, I'm on the subject, would anyone like to be the keeper of the list, as I need to hand the baton on to the next one in line.

Can you also please drop a PM or a post to update your due dates (nicknames, colours etc) to me. I have kind of lost momentum to go back over everything and track them all down but I will add it if you provide it iykwim.

Kelly - a thousand thank yous for thinking of me and offering advice and feedback. so much has been happening these past few days and I'm still spinning. I had high blood pressure yesterday...after the huge day and the day before nearly fainted after my accupuncture session, so it's all starting to overwhelm me a bit.

My appointments as I mentioned, were really taxing but the upshot was, no arguments, total agreement that we bring the date forward and go with caesarian. Yay. Now I'm really looking forward with a clear plan and that really helps. Between DH and I we'e a bit freaked about the suddenness, but either way, we didn't have long til due date (if she came on time) and she is quite happy in there sitting in a buddha pose so nothing was going to shift her. very cute, just like her dad meditating!

She is still small for dates and the worry is about the development of the abdo cavity, but not a huge worry, just need monitoring and more trips to Cairns...another tomorrow...urggghh (4 hour round trip) and then multiple appts in a day. gotta do it though but it feels like being back at IVF stage:doh: have to have my bags packed every time I go to town now so have finished that today after having to go and buy tiny clothes...my hand me downs (which I have enough of to last til she is six, didn't start at 4 or 5 zeros so 000 will be too big. My sister's babies all measured off the length scale!!

Enough about me...just a tiny catch up with a few of you, BDT I am super envious of your Fiji trip but love your attitude to all things positive coming up for you. Enjoy, it's really lovely to hear.

Neptune, I hope you let your little one choose his own time and not get rushed into the induction. If he is healthy, I don't see the point in diving in right on the due date. Goodluck though and accupuncture is fantastic at moving things along naturally, it certainly makes Jazzy wiggle, just not out of breech position. xoxo

Neptune, thinking of you in your last days before welcoming your little man. I'm sure he's got his own plan for how things are meant to work out. Good luck. And I second the suggestion for acupuncture - I hear they can do wonders to get things moving.

Sorry, that's all I've got for persies today!

I've had a busy week or so, with my Mum visiting and leaving me with her :cold: which hasn't helped with the MS, cause I can't eat properly or sleep properly.

We also had our first scan with FS on Monday and saw ONE heartbeat, which was such a relief. We're delighted. Unfortunately I had a bit of red blood spotting that night and was really anxious and upset for about 24 hours. It amounted to nothing, and was probably a result to the internal scan from that morning. But when I told my GP she had me sent for a second scan yesterday, which was tummy only, and I got to see the heartbeat again - 120bpm, measuring at around 6w5d (which was spot on).

So, I now have a ticker. Still having some on-and-off spotting, which sometimes is just like a dirty-coloured cm (TMI), as opposed to blood. 7 weeks tomorrow! Feeling good, apart from the :cold: and occasional MS which isn't worrying me too much. The tiredness is full-on though, and I'm struggling to keep my concentration during the day.

Anyway, I have to go. Will try and do a more persie post soon.

oh murph - that is very exciting!!! and soon! these things happen for a reason and i am more than positive it will all be good for you and jazzy! mum said it was pretty foul up there today, so it's probably best to get the bub out before the mercury starts rising again -- that would be very uncomfy!

peresphone - yiiippeee for 7 weeks! celebrate every milestone i say lovey. but i can't imagine how stressy it would be to get some spotting etc. hope you start to feel better soon lovely.

bdt - i only went part time at 30 weeks, so maybe if the house gets sorted etc you may be able to do that too :) that way its only 4 weeks part time.. i actually just took annual leave for 2 days a week and just work the hours out to suit me and my boss. it really is the best, i ended up having a 2.5 hr sleep this arvo and was able to go for a walk with the Cookie Monster this arvo. so feel really good and wasn't so tired i couldn't make dinner (like usual if i don't get a nap in).

Am really finding everything is slowing down. just so tired and slow and have really checked out of work! Murph I know you have 2 weeks til Jazzy arrives as that's my last week at work... so we can count down together, cept yours is more exciting. and cool on the more baby clothes shopping! lol.

oh and you ain't missing out on much with no tv... there is sweet FA on tonight! don't they know i'm home alone and ''need'' entertaining! i could really use some mindless rubbish right now, just before bedtime! geez.

Don't know if you're keen on yoga moves, but I read this the other day in a pregnancy magazine and it's supposed to be helpful in alleviating MS. Let me know if it works.

"Grasp your tongue using a dry, clean cloth. pull it out until it feels quite strained, then hold it for 30 seconds. It may be weird but it's worth it if it works!"

BDT: I'm doing really well. Here's hoping your house sells quickly & easily and you can cut your work back a little early.

AFM scored another barrrrrgain yesterday! Beema Q Swallow pram in black & orange! RRP $530 but I walked in and managed to score the last one (actually the floor model) for $399! Bassinett attachment also discounted from $169 to $53 and they threw in a matching orange pram liner for nothing! Bought a cute little sleepsuit too that says "Daddy's Little Star", some window sox for the car and some teeny weeny singlets and socks which I consequently went gaga over, causing DH & the furbaby to collectively :rolleyes: LOL. Off to see my Mum today, she thinks she may have found a cot for me so we're off for more shopping!

Anyway better run now, so much to do before I head off and I bought Seasons 6 & 7 of the old BH90210 yesterday (yes, sadly I'm obsessed) so hoping to fit in a couple of episodes while I clean & pack! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Neptune - hope the wait is not too much longer and your little one comes on their own initiative. Tell the medics that the baby doesn't have a calendar in there and will come when they are ready!!!

Smithy - I am jealous of the nursery! My DH will hardly set anything up yet. Although did say when I am 7 months he will put the hammock up so the dog gets used to it!! LOL! Sounds like a lovely scheme all white with accents of pink. Look forward to seeing pics.

Grub - a few more days down on your wait for DH. Getting closer everyday. Thinking of you...

BDT - Good luck with your big plans. DH and I also downsized bigtime (moved countries, then from city to country and I gave up work!) in preparation for having a baby. We are very poor these days but we can just get by with only one of us working now. Had to make some sacrifices but we get a kick from making do and mending now! It will be worth it if you are less stressed for when bubs is here. Love is the most important thing isn't it in the end! Also lucky you going to Fiji!!!

Murph - glad you have some direction now in what is happening. Must be great having a proper date to look forward to. I hope everything is OK with her sizes and tummy. At least you are getting the monitoring you need as much as I can imagine the running around would be very stressful!. Just wanted to ask re acupuncture did you lie on your back for it or did you have to have a pillow under your left hip like they recommend in the books so that the heart vein thingie doesn't get crushed by your bump? I was just wondering as I am having acupuncture on Tuesday (can't wait!!!) and I know my acupuncturist is a pregnancy specialist but just wanted to make sure. BTW I didn't make the list!!! :( I am due 15/01/10 and it is a boy!

Belly rubs to everyone I have missed! Sorry!

AFM - Finally got off my a%*e and went to my local belly buddies group. Glad I did. the woman running it is a doula who does pregnancy shiatsu etc and baby massage and lots of other lovely things I am in to. Everyone else in the group was all into the same sort of stuff. So we had a great chat about birth and our choices. I had a chat to the shiatsu lady afterwards and poured out my miseries and she was supportive. I didn't realise how miserable I had been!! To sum up in the last two or so years I have moved countries, gone into a very stressful job that forced me to change careers, gone through two laps and ovarian drilling, was diagnosed with Graves disease, gone through IVF, moved to a remote rural area which is very lovely but isolated because I have no car and no friends at all here, had to leave my job to move here and also because of the stress and DH has gone into a job which is stressing him out and means he is working all sorts of odd hours and I feel like I never see him and we cannot get into a good routine, I also found out that due to an administrative arbitary date that we were not in the country for, that I qualify for absolutely no benefits even though DH earns less than he was promised at interview and his salary now fits the low income bracket (we would never have moved here for that job if we had been told the truth at the start and now it is too late!). This means I have had to go jobsearching and noone is going to employ a pregnant woman!!! I know people go through a lot worse but I have had alot of time to think about things and have got myself quite depressed. My friends are also all in Australia or London and I know it sounds selfish and childish but it means I am not going to get a baby shower :( All in all I am not a happy bunny! Anyway I told the lady at bellybuddies only half of all this and she said that I am not being nurtured at the time I need nurturing the most and I must be lacking 'grounding' when I most need to have a steady base and grounding. She said if I am not getting emotional nurturing than the best thing I can do is get some physiological nurturing like acupuncture or massage or something. So upshot is I am getting acupunture on Tuesday. I cannot wait! So sorry for a long rant and whinge but I feel so much better for getting that all out!

Hello to Greenslw, Bella, Sammie and everyone else.

AFM, have VERY slow internet wireless access at home so havent been online much. My first week of maternity leave has been busy but productive. My DP's parents and my mum came over on Wed so help me organise and arrange the nursery. Had everything everywhere!! So both mums helped me sort things out so the nursery is now tidy, lol Am having my baby shower this Sunday so it needed to be done as Im sure that will be the FIRST place the girls will want to look at! Im a little disappointed about the numbers coming on Sunday. Of the 20 people I invited, I have 9 people coming. Some have just blanting not even replied. I now have my DP's sister wanting to bring her 2 toddler kids along even though my DP has offered to babysit them and she was like, no, no I'll bring them. Mind you, other than maybe an 8 & 9 year old coming, they will be the only little ones there! Im really annoyed as I now have to "politely" ask her I dont want them there which sounds harsh but its a girls catch up day. I havent seen some of my friends in ages and no offence to the little ones, but they are FULL ON and need constant attention. I have baby shower games organised and I can just see them running around and getting in the way. The other kids will just sit in the loungeroom QUIETLY watching a dvd. I just cant understand why someone would bring their kids along to a shower when they have an offer of a babysitter. She knows none of my friends have toddlers so hers would be the only ones there. It very frustrating :wall: Sorry for the whinge girls, I just am really annoyed. Other than that, bubs is kicking lots! Have been sleeping restlessly. Cant seem to get comfy. My back aches alot and my legs craps up as well. Just under 3 weeks until my delivery date, its come so FAST!

Better run and have a shower and go shopping, hehehe

Oh Poppyfairy, my gosh you have a lot going on there, no wonder you are miserable at the moment. You must feel a little better to talk about it to someone and actually articulate why you feel the way you do. Go and get some acu/massage and take care of your self. It sounds as though things can only get better, and remember that you have a beautiful bub on the way. Thinking of you.

BOC - well done on the bargain pram, that's excellent!!! And hiding away watching old episodes of 90210 sounds alright to me! I've been watching my Seinfeld DVD's and having a good old laugh.

AFM: WEll, i have tried acupuncture, raspberry leaf, nipple stim, sex, acupressure....I walk an hour every day......this baby is not coming.

The doctor is now concerned about my age and the placenta, and I have been convinced to be induced tomorrow. I am disappointed becasue I really wanted natural all the way, but there is just no sign of him coming. He is not engaged at all and posterior, so I suspect that it is going to be a difficult birth anyway. The doctor actually wanted to to a c/s then and there, but after an U/S which showed little Neptune to be AOK, she allowed me to wait a few more days and then go with induction. I have been warned that it may end in a c/s. So the last few days I have done a fair bit of grieving over it not going the way we planned, but I =feel that I want to get my sadness out of the way, so that I have no disappointment at the other end IYKWIM. So I am starting to feel excited that I will meet him on Sunday or more likely Monday!!!!!

So wish me luck, and I will be back soonish to ket you know that he has arrived!!!! :):D

:comfort: oh neptune! that is super exciting! and like murphy come to terms with the c-sect, it's probably best to look at the overall picture - healthy mum and healthy bub whatever the exit route. and you never know, bub might just need a bit of encouragement from the gels/drip and you get a vaginal birth. don't automatically think the worst, but be prepared for the most drastic. not sure if that helps. but i'm very excited at your news lovie.

:grouphug: that's for you poppyfairy. i could have written most of what you did love. not the job and crap money thing tho, but i've been there and it's soooo stressful. life is unfair isn't it? you shouldn't have to be thinking about finding a job at this stage in your life. I don't think the being sad about missing out on a baby shower is selfish at all. can you organise a london girls weekend or meet up half way between your home and london for a fun weekend with your mates? i know it's only cyberspace, but we are here. if you ever just need a chat pm me and i can natter with the best of them **shoots a look in murph's direction lol**. but look on the positive. you may find a great friend in your belly group! it sounds hopeful.

:hug: for you miss tania. what/how did you mention it to your SIL? maybe your MIL or DH could do the dirty work for you? or the person hosting the shower? holy moly, 3 weeks is not long at all love. that must have been great to have the girls day setting up the nursery. As for 9 or 20 coming, don't worry too much as least the people who deserve to be there ie those who care enough to respond to a little invite, will be there! that's one of my big big worries for my shower as most of the invitees are colleagues or acquaintances, all people are really like, but not friends so to speak. you'll have a great time and 9 is a much better sized group, you can actually spend time with people!

boc - good on you bargain girl! i went inot bargain/research overdrive when we were buying everything. I registered with the choice website and checked out the recommended buys, prices and ''what to look for''. it was fabulous. I had a huge book i wrote everything down in so when we went to the shops i could tell dh exactly what to look for and if something was overpriced - he then bargained the shop assistant lol. I really do believe we saved heaps that way tho.

afm - it's dh's 29th birthday today and he's alone in wagga but i just rang and sang him Happy Bday and he went to the boozer last night and had a blow out... which is pretty astonishing for my DH as he hardly drinks and probably has a big one once or twice a year. but he mixed his drinks so is still in bed lol. and yes, i didn't do a typo - this is a 29yr old man! you'd think they'd learn.

had a bit of a sooky, hormonal melt down in bed last nigh :( i was okay when reading but when i stoped i realised how alone i was. and the kid who was to mow my lawn this weekend can't so i've got to ask the neighbour, it's VERY hard asking for help. so i was stressing and strategising on how I could mow myself. anyway a good sook and i felt better. i then yelled at myself in the mirror and am going next door soon to ask for help. now is not the time for heroics, i said, and i could potentially put my baby in danger or worse still... cause an early delivery... which is the last thing i want.

anyhoo, its a great day here so am taking the fur baby for a walk. i'm obviously a great disappointment in the ball game dept by her condensending looks in my direction, but a walk seems to keep her happy. (she is a ball-obsessed puppy dog to the extreme).

LOL Grub, my furbaby does these weird stunt rolls to get you to scratch her back in the park, but I just can't bend down at the moment, so she gives me dirty looks and continues to roll furiously into the back of my legs until I give her a scratch. I think she looks at my gut and thinks I've been into her food bowl. :lol:

I've been missing for a while, working in a promotional position temporarily with really long hours, on top of pregnancy it means I've had zero energy for anything else! But hope to be back in the loop again. Hope everyone is going well.

Murph, could you update me on the list please ? We're expecting a baby boy :babyboy:

All has been going well with the pregnancy, well I mean baby is well but it's been a little hard on me with sickness and extreme tiredness (Im still waiting for the second trimester burst of energy that never came!) and other aches and pains. But as long as the baby is fine I won't complain!

I have a question for anyone who has knowledge on this topic. I dont think I've felt the baby move yet. Sometimes I think I am but am not sure if it's just digestion. Heartbeat if fine and on the last ultrasound he was extremely active, but I'd feel better if I could feel him. I read on the net last night if your placenta is laying at the front this could mean you dont feel the baby move well. Anyway, if anyone has any advice/experiences to share am happy to hear it!

hey greenslw. it must be a work thing. we had one of our staff quit and another had a heart attack about 3 weeks ago and i'm leaving in a fortnight. At the end of the day, you've just got to put it back on the company and not worry about it. It's not your problem, although i felt very guilty for about a week for 'leaving them in the lurch' til DH said bugger them, you've given 8 months notice! so i hope you aren't suffering any guilts either love.

hi misty! so glad you popped back in love. can't help you with the movements but if you are feeling crapola and all is good on the scans, i'd try not to worry too much. Also, i only got about a 6 week window of feeling good and then BAM! hit the slow-down wall. So i agree, it is a big fat lie that you feel energised and wonderful in the 2nd tri! lol. but i did feel better than in my first... til i got swine flu and a cold lol.

lol neptune - my cookie monster is so spoilt and beautiful. she's a real little character. sounds like your fur baby is too... i just had a vision of a big preggy lady hoffing down a bowl of dry food. lol.

well, i ended up ignoring my own lecture and mowed part of the yard. I couldn't get onto the neighbour and it looks like rain tomorrow so it had to be done. I took it steady, had 2 breaks and heaps of water and only did what i could. The neighbour came home later that day and finished it off for me... and then got up me and i'm now under strict orders from him and DH not to do the mowing again. anyway, it's out of the way now and i've told DH, who is a huge tightar$e, that he'll just have to hire someone to do it. end of story.

but anyway just wanted to ask... bluey is moving a lot tonight and it's hurty. mainly on my right side. it feels like he's bouncing on my internal organs... its the sort of pain like when you push on a bruise. Anyway its the most active he's been and he's been contorting my tummy. Anyone else get movements that are uncomfortable? I wouldn't say they were super painful, just not pleasant. Of course, I am worrying that i did 'something' to him cos i mowed aarrrggghhhhh. can't win.

okay off to bed to read. sorry bout another long post. feeling a bit lonely so have resorted to stalking pregnant women. someone go and give their DH a passionate, loving kiss for me as i wish i could kiss my darling, lovely husband. (may as well live preciously thru you guys lol). oxox

Well we are home now and after one night daddy is already struggling with broken sleep. I think we go about 5 hours last night, but my adrenaline is still pumping along so I'm feeling fine. Have done 2 loads of washing and prepared the next 3 feeds for Tara as well. It is a bit of extra work having to express every 3-4 hours to get my milk in and also make up formula topup's for her, so there is the bottle preparation and steralising etc, but I think I've got a routine going. I'm also happy as it seems my milk might be coming in early (we thought it would take a while as my iron levels are so low that this delays milk production). When I was pumping this morning my other breast started to leak, so good news. Apart from that Tara is thriving, from her birth weight of 3200g, she went down to 2960g on day 3 and at her discharge yesterday she was back up to 3060g. SO last remaining thing is that we have to take her back to the hossy on Tuesday for a Renal Ultrasound (I have renal problems that run in my family) just to check her kidney's are all o.k and then we should be all good.

I'm sorry to post such a me post, but just wanted to keep up to date with you all. I suppose it is now my time to graduate into the parenting forums, but it is so nice to know that Neptune will be joining me either todat or tomorrow and Murph will be there at the end of the month. What a fabulous few weeks in here :dance:.

so many of you in need of hugs right now so I'll drop in a big :grouphug: and apologise in advance that I can't talk to you all.

Poppiefairy - I think a few of us have felt that isolation you are describing and the way it makes you feel so lonely and removed. You've certainly done it on a grand scale and have many factors weighing down on you but I hope it will help you to know that if you can even make some small steps towards reaching out, catching up with your friends somehow or family that you are missing, you can go on. I just had to do that myself recently, go back home and see all my family and then get a good dose of my Mum's company and then everything is right with the world (or a hell of a lot easier to cope with on your own when you are pregnant). You are probably in that window also where you just need some security and home style loving that noone else seems able to provide. If you can do it, I would try to have that contact that you need and tell people what you are feeling. In the mean time, I had a good chuckle at your birthing classes and rest assured, we would be the ones joining you in the giggle fest at those god awful perineum massages (and there's no proof it works, the pictures just make you want to take it up for fun...not....youch!). Your class sounds like they might be toffy Rover drivers are they? anyway, great that you found someone to talk to and to help you through. It's just a phase and it's okay to feel sad, you'll come through it and be back to your jam making in no time. Oh the accupuncture thing...well I lie on my back for a lot of it, but that works for me despite all the stuff about not doing it and I think that's because she is breech, then when I have to lie on my side, it is always on the right side and I feel rather seedy now cos of the indigestion I always need to keep at bay. Sorry, not much help, but it is always a wonderful peaceful experience even these days when it's not as comfy.

P.s. Poppiefairy - do you not have a car cos DH has it for work, or do you not have a licence and can't drive? If it's the latter, maybe you could see about learning as it can be isolating to rely on others too.

Grub - I'd give DH those cuddles for you but at the moment I'm in can't bear to cuddle mode, which is just really sucky. I fully understand those movements you were describing after your mowing, but I've done nothing to bring them on (except maybe stressing). I did gloss over some pretty rough stuff that happened this week involving fights and confusion with the hospital and gatekeepers keeping me from my OB etc despite having been told I needed monitoring and to bring packed bags, then noone letting me see my OB urgently or booking my scans....arrrghhh! Luckily I have the best GP and she got everything sorted. so my little tike yesterday was nearly making me cry with all that rearrangement of internal organs and really painful tumbles and having that "I'm so over it" kind of feeling that we all get guilty about saying. bugger it though, we wanted to get pregnant and have our babies safely, not get kicked around and feel bloody awful, rundown and at the mercy of every ache and pain and then blame ourselves for bringing them on. My DH came home after walking the dogs and found me at the sink on a chair doing the dishes (damn back, aching legs, you know the drill...and I sure aint up to dog walking). he proceeded to give me a massage right there at the sink and ohhhhhh, that took away some stress and the almost tears I was about to cry. then later, while giving my ice-crazy dogs some ice, george spat his out right under my foot as I walked on it and I really twinged and hurt my back trying to avoid falling on my ar$e and really did some damage so that I have had the crappiest night sleep. when does it stop? In 11 days!!! Hear that Greenslw...in 11 days..you havent been paying attention;) I'm going under the knife and woohoo, bring it on!

Misty77 - great to hear from you. It's always nice to have an update as so many on our list are kind of unknown and you worry that everyone is okay. Congrats on finding out it's a boy! As for not feeling movements, I was a bit of a late bloomer too. All those things the girls have said are right but there's no need to assume indigestion, it can feel fluttery, bubbly, etc at first. One of the girls in here went through her whole birth without ever having braxton hicks contractions, and I nearly went my entire pg without ever feeling my baby have hiccups (til last week:D, very cute). We are all so different and comparison is the source of suffering. I know that cos OBs insist on telling me that my baby's abdominal cavity measures off the scale (size wise) when compared to all the babies born in Australia...oh but don't worry, it's only a statistical comparison...yeah just like nuchal scans! Grrrr.

Something tells me I have some issssssuues today and I am expressing a little passive aggressive hostility towards certain recent events, so I might leave you to enjoy your sunday without my rot today.

Grub - my god i had the same movement last night - my tummy looked like their were waves going across it! They were going crazy and it actually began to be very very uncomfortable - my cure - get on all fours and gently rock them into a different position - worked for me!

Sorry I have been MIA for a while.

I have been really busy. Work has turned hectic and we have had so much on and trying to get organised for the arrival of the little one. I can't believe how quick time has gone. Whilst trying to conceive every month felt like it dragged but now my gosh it feels like 2 months ago we got our exciting news.

Neptune- I really hope everything is going well for you with induction.

Kelly- Congrats on the arrival of Tara Rose. A beautiful name.

Bella- Glad the massages are helping. I think I need to book in for one very soon.

Grub- I hope DH had a :happybirthday: yesterday. A sooky hormonal meltdown is all ok. Hope you are feeling better and the neighbour was able to mow the lawns for you.

BDT- You have lots of exciting things ahead of you Fiji, baby shower, finishing work christmas and then the arrival of your bubs.

Murph- Not long left for you now. Hope all is going well.

Seph- Hope all is going well for you and the spotting has stopped. I had spotting between 5 - 7 weeks which turned out to be nothing. Try and stay relaxed.

AFM- Feeling great have less than 8 wks to go now. I am still working full time. Planning to stay at work til 37wks.
I am pretty organised with things at home the nursery furniture is in the room, pram set up, getting the car seat off layby next weekend and will then have it installed.
I have my baby shower next weekend which I am looking forward to. I have about 50 people coming so I am sure I will be exhausted after it. Both DH & I have big families that get upset if they are not invited to celebrations. With so many girls that's why i don't want children.

BDT: Where in Fiji are you going? We had our honeymoon at Shangri La on the main island and also Musket Cove Island. I loooove Fiji so much would go there again in an instant! We're booking a babymoon too, but only to that beautiful little resort we went to a few weeks ago, and it's only an hour away! We'll be there in Feb which is great as the resort has a beautiful pool all the way around it, which is where I'm betting I'll be most of the time!

:hello: to everyone else! Big :bellyrubs: to you all!

AFM went to my folks place for the weekend, had a few people to catch up with and more shopping to do ;) Lay-byed a swing and we've picked a cot out too (my parents are buying cot as a gift) just have to wait, my friend is giving us a beautiful Boori chest/change table and just have to wait & see what colour timber it is before we get a cot. In all my superstition (apparently bad luck to have a pram in your house before bubs comes) I have left my pram at my folks place. Well the cat was over the moon, thought it was a new bed for him! Very cute seeing the little head pop up over the bootcover :lol: Not so impressed when we kicked him out! Oh and my Mum got to feel a kick! She was very excited! Now just gotta get DH to be around for the kicks so he can feel one!

Now for the not-so-good news. DH has been offered a new job. Good because it is better money and means I may not have to go back to work after Cookie arrives but bad becasue it includes away work, a week at a time and he seems to think it will be 1 or 2 trips a month! I really don't know what to do, he is just so miserable where he is now and jobs that pay his kind of money with no qualifications are very hard to find, especially at his age! Anyway being that I'm of a HR background he's agreed to have the boss over one night to explain all the details and conditions & then basically IT'S UP TO ME to decide whether he can take it or not! Talk about pressure! I really don't know, I mean I can deal with being on my own with a newborn, it will be hard having noone around to help me (my folks live 2hrs away) and that's not such a big deal, I just hate the thougth of him missing out on Cookie growing up. Anyway, please :crossfingers: for me that the right decision is made!

what a fantastic day it's been up here. Started the day by getting myself out of the house and off to the beach....ahhhhh, the best therapy in the world. the weather was perfect, got to hang out with the furry kids and DH and laughed so much at their antics. There is nothing as fun and carefree for me. Lotsa laughs and our last preggy photos, some really nice ones to frame and have by my hospital bed. got the belly out too:D Then, we came home from Cow Bay and it bucketed down...woohoo, haven't seen rain for sooooo long. It arrived in a windy swirl, coming in every window so we were running around madly and yelling at old Huey to send it down. DH ran out to wash the car in the rain and I put buckets everywhere to catch the precious stuff. I can't even explain how bizarre it is to be going through a drought in the wettest part of the country that receives 4000mm of rain per year, but there it is, the driest winter ever recorded this year with only 36mm since June.

Sorry for the weather report, but it's our big news at the moment, daggy as it is.

My advice to all who have been in the dumps like me....do that thing that you know makes you smile. I should have been regularly going to the beach to keep me out of the clouds. I'm certainly going to take Jazzy as often as I can.

i just feel shattered and so upset. i feel so scared of being alone for the birth of this precious one and not coping. We are supposed to be doing this together! Not alone, isoalted from all my family and friends.

i think he is going to come home now for one weekend.. that's a friday night, saturday and leave again on Sunday.

Feel soooo stressed about it all and just have a terrible ''feeling'' that bluey will arrive early.
