how is everyone?

I had iui monday morning after puregon 5000 trigger last saturday night.yesterday i have been slightly queasy a couple times but that may be stress about mum.i also just had the slightest bit of spotting.a few twingy pains yesterday afternoon.i have to have a puregon 1500 booster tonight.sunday and again next thursday.not sure what to think at the moment. but i guess between my 2 girls constantly fighting,the puppies plus mums diagnosis i havent had a lot of time to think about my tww.but then when i have thought about it in the back of my head i think if we were lucky enough for the iui to have worked the stress probably isnt the best thing for me.

I meant to post details about DP's sample for the iui the other day but have been a little side tracked. Semen analysis about 2 years ago showed his count as around 11 million per mil with reduced motility.mondays sample-initial assessment was 27 million per mil and final concentration was 30 million per mil :D i was impressed at the difference from two years ago.mondays sample also 60% were moving and 20% of those were rapid moving.so i guess there is hope for iui working with a sample like that compared to previous samples

Yah, finally today I had my transfer. Its been a long month for me.
On my scan and bloods test on 21st December which was day 25, nothing was happening. So they took me off the Puregon and put me on Progynova, 3 tablets a day and 2 Pessarie a day. Now this is a first for me as I have always had the Puregon and Pregnyl 5000 Trigger injection then the 3 x Pregnyl 1500 follow up injections.
A change is as good as a holiday so they say :)

Yesterday I also started my Clexane injections and Cartia tablets. I was really nervous about the Clexane injection as I heard that they really hurt. But it wasn't as bad as I thought.

So it looks like its just me and Trubabe in this 2ww thread at the moment.

BT for me is wednesday.slightly sore boobs but half the time i think im imagining it lol.had a few days of throwing up as soon as i get up but trying not to get hopes up.i had my trigger two weeks ago yesterday and iui two weeks ago tomorrow so im guessing if af is going to show up she should be here tomorrow, but so far no spotting which i usually get the day before

AFM: woke up on Transfer morning with a sore throat. Trying to not get any sicker and taking panodol to make sure I don't get a high temp .
I have booked to do the NK Cell test on the 5th of January but the lady in the lab said if I am not 100% healthy I will have to cancel, so I am heading off to the doctors on Tuesday to find out if I have a throat infection and if I need antibiotics then I will definately have to cancel NK Cell Test as Antibiotics affects the antibodies in body and having any infection in the body will also affect the test.

Feeling a little lonely in here :o

I've got one week left of my 2ww, not feeling very positive at all. Not feeling anything, I have no pregnancy signs at all.
Still have the sore throat and the bad cough though.
And you should see the bruises from the Clexane injections. Ouch.
Rang lab and had to cancel my NK Cell test : ( cause of the bad cold I caught. :cold:

I had asked my clinic to have a blood test for my progesterone levels. So on 30th December, 7 days after ovulation 4 days after transfer my levels were 41.
SO is that good or average. My clinic said it was good. I have no idea whats good as this is the first time I asked for this test.
Some help from you ladies with regards to Progesterone levels would be greatly appreciated.

I am not in my 2ww but remember the feelings VIVIDLY so I am here to give you some support :)

I dont remember having my progesterone levels tested so i am not sure what that means... hopefully one of the other girls will be along soon with an opinion.

I would not worry about not having signs of preg. AT ALL. I had none either except a stabbing pain on my left side which I was sure was a sign of impending AF. Symptoms and signs dont mean a thing. All that counts is that bfp on a blood test.

Hi Danyelle, it was standard practice for my clinic to check my progesterone levels several times in the TWW. I was on injections through my IUIs and Progesterone pesseries through IVF. My clinic told me that anything over 30 is good but the usually liked to see me a little higher. Through out my IVF cycles my prog always seem to come in around 60-80. We finally got our BFP in October and I didn't really have any symptoms either until the very end. I didn't suffer nausea till week 8 and my first symptom was when my boobs started to ache about a day before my period was due. Good luck with everything. My fingers are crossed for you. Try to stay positive as everyone is different and no symptoms does not necessarily mean things aren't working.

I went for another Progesterone Blood test today, I am 11 days after ovulation and P4 level is 61 so that's a good sign its going up :D.

My clinic doesn't do any blood test in the 2ww until your pregnancy blood test.
I asked them could I do the test as I have been sick again with some sort of flu (this is the 3rd time I have got the flu mid cycle) and I was feeling a little down, thinking that it won't work again.
Plus my cycle wasn't doing anything on the Puregon so mid cycle they switched my meds and put me on Progynova 3 times a day and the Progesterone Pessaries Morning and Night.

The reason I mentioned the Non Pregnancy symptons is that on all my previous cycles which I used the Puregon and then the Pregnyl 5000 as Trigger and 3 x Pregnyl 1500 follow up injections, I had the common pregnancy symptons, mild cramping, bigger boobs, sore boobs etc.

I went back through my paperwork today and I was looking at my test results from my Last fresh IVF Cycle that ended in Bio Chemical BFN and my Beta HCG Level was 7 and my P4 was 26 :cry:.

I do have an ache in my chest but I'm putting that down to all the coughing that I have been doing at night. :cold:

Dayelle - great to hear that your prog is going up. Looks like your body is doing the right thing, plus the pesseries will definitely help. By the sounds of the symptoms you have had on previous cycles it was probably the injections. I found I didn't get and preg type symptoms on the pesseries (which was good because it doesn't confuse the situation).

I had a chemical preg on my first IVF stim - HCG reading got to 24. I figure that maybe it was nautures way of letting me know that this one wasn't meant to be. Fx that this little embie is the one that sticks this time round.

Take care of your self and I hope you get rid of this flu thing qickly.

I’ve finally joined in the TWW but it seems that at the moment I’m on my own. Of course, this is my umpteenth TWW but my first as an IVF TWWer.

I’m still unsure how I feel about being here. It’s so different to all the other times. Knowing that your egg has fertilized but not knowing if it is continuing to grow and implant. It is very strange to me. I feel a bit nervous and yucks in the guts but I'm sure the latter is because of the pessaries. I worry (ever so slightly) about taking pessary symptoms for pregnancy symptoms. *sigh* I don't want to jump too far ahead of myself!

I have decided to adopt not just a positive mind set but also that DH and I should encourage our embies (I’m incubating two because I’m so old – thanks FS :rolleyes:) to grow and burrow when the time is right. That being said, I’ve instructed DH to speak words of support to them. He feels stupid but is willing to try. I feel a bit daft too but kind words spoken to plants work, so why not this? :D C’mon embies!! :)

We also have been blessed to have a third embie (aka threebie) still in the lab. She started, then stopped, then started again. Clearly a nutbag and takes after me. ;) So not only are we hopeful that our twobies do their job, but also that threebie continues to thrive for use a bit later. We shall find out her fate on Saturday.

I hope all is going well with you. I've only had the embies in for a day and already I'm starting to be concerned. I've had mild cramping on and off all day. As far as I know, cramping is not a good sign, is it? Isn't it your body's way of trying to get rid of what's inside your uterus? *sigh* I can't believe I have another 13 days of this. I'm going to go completely insane. ;)

Thought I'd give you TWW'ers a giggle.

I was driving to work this morning and realised "You know when you're TTC when...you see car number plates that contain letters like CM, DTD, BD or BFP and wonder if they're some kind of sign..."

Here’s one for you. You know how women talk about getting “Baby Brain” and they get all forgetful and do silly things? Well, I’m 2 days into my TWW and already I’ve started. I went to work today with my shirt on INSIDE OUT!! Arghhhhh!!! I’m totally blaming the twobies (2 embryos), even though it’s completely illogical. And yes, I’m laughing at myself. :lol:

I haven't been on here in absolute ages but thought I would take a peek for old times sake. I wanted to reassure Moonflower about the cramping. I too had awful amounts of cramping after ET. I would frequently wake at around 3:30am and beg DH to get the panadeine and heat pack for me (even though acupuncturist told me to stay away from it). I would say at times it was agonising and it really played tricks with my mind. As it turns out, I got my BFP that cycle as did a colleague who was seeing the same FS as me and was a few weeks behind me. Try if you can to stay positive. IMO the 2WW was the most difficult stage of the TTC/IVF process. I even called my clinic and begged to have my BT moved forward as I was sure I was going to lose it at a child at work (i'm a teacher). Do what you can for yourself in terms of being relaxed and in a good headspace.

I've had a moments today where I start to obsess and DH brings me right back to reality and I'm all good again! ;)

As you know already, I am 2dpET, and I am having cramping too. Actually cramping would be the wrong word to describe it, it is more like a pinching feeling on the inside, just today, like every now and then someone gives me a good strong pinch, and it hurts! Had some mild cramping yesterday too. Oh im going nutts already.
I hope the cramping for you atleast eases for you XXX

Every twinge seems to be a reminder of what we are trying to ignore ATM!!!

I have no idea how I am going to survive the next 2wks. This is agony.
One minute I feel positive, the next I am terrified of the heartbreak, but I guess so many women have been here, and did it with stride.:clap:

Those pains you’re having (the pinching ones), well, I got those yesterday too. But also I still have the mild “period pain” cramping. The nurses assure me this is all normal. So I say, bring it! ;)

I am plodding along the same as you. One minute up, the next anxious. I really want to be excited and yet I just can’t bring myself to get there yet. I’m sure we’re not on our Pat Malone! Trying my best to keep my mind on other things.

Nothing much has been happening with me today. Except that I’ve started to suffer two of the many side affects of Crinone – headache and thrush. Ugh! How I love being a girl. :rolleyes:

Moonflower seems as though my body is EXACTLY one day behind you, because the pinching feeling I had to one side yesterday, has turned today into constant mild AF like cramping across the lowest part of my tummy.

I am in a moorbid mood, I can't keep my mind off it because the crampiness is there all the time, I have been so depressed all day thinking it is over already, but if you say it's normal, that has eased my mind a little.

Honestly, to me the needles, scans, bloodtests, EPU and ET was the easy part, this is so darn hard it is eating at me ever so slowly.

Sorry not my chirpy self hun, I hope I can get out of this mood, I wanted to stay positive no matter what...for all of us XXX

MC – don’t you worry about not being so cheery. I too was getting quite depressed last night and again this morning. Then I remembered that depression is another side effect of the Crinone. That and the ‘not knowing’ which completely does your head in! You hang in there with me girl. We can do this. :hug:

My DH has been surprisingly VERY supportive and even offered to cook dinner last night. He is the burrito king in our house. It’s the only thing he knows how to make! I'm never sure if I should tell him how I'm feeling or what's going through my mind as I know it gets him down. But then, a problem shared is a problem halved (that's why we're all here, right?). So we just both talk it through (not too much) and I'm pleased to say, we've grown even closer over this past week.

I’m feeling better today. Not so much AF type cramping which is good. But then, of course, I start to worry. Why aren’t I cramping so much? What does this mean? If cramping is good, then no cramping must be bad. Arghhhhhh!!!!! Ridiculous, aren’t I? And of course, I’ve just stood up to give my boss something and I felt some cramping so now I feel better. :lol: *sigh*

I hope you are having a better day today. Do you find that being at work helps to keep your mind off it? It’s so easy to fall back into obsessing about every little thing. All I can tell you is that I stick my nose in a book if I realise that my “curiosity” turns into an “all consuming fixation”. :lol: So maybe that idea can help you too.

I have started reading a good book today, and it has helped keep my mind buisy whilst reading, but as soon a I stop...!!!
The cramping for me has not subsided yet, and thisafternoon I have developed a strange pull in my left groin area, like I have pulled a muscle or something, but I dunno, could be completely unrelated.

Well if I keep on track with you, the cramps should subside tomorrow then!!:lol:

I spoke to a friend today who has 3 children thanks to IVF, and she said she had no cramping at all, even with the cycles that weren't a success, so she was not any help at all....'sigh' XX

How goes it with you and your embies? How is the cramping / groin pull? Hope you’re doing well and that the pain isn’t too awful.

I had bad day yesterday. Not sure if it’s the drugs making me feel down but I was all but convinced that this cycle hasn’t worked. I must fess up. I spent a lot of time (a couple of hours) looking at loads of stories on the net about women who were at the same stage as us and loads of them didn’t manage pregnancies. And then loads of them did. I just didn’t know what to think. And I still have a week before BT! My DH has banned me from POAS before the BT. Not that I would. If it’s –ve, it’ll kill me and if it’s +ve and the BT –ve, well, I don’t even want to contemplate that. You would think I’d have taken my own advice, huh? I don’t know what got into me. Am trying desperately to get some +ve thoughts back into my head. All that and my damn thrush is getting worse. Have started using a cream which I didn’t want to because I’ve had enough drugs, thank you very much. *sigh*

How are you going? I so hope that you are doing better than me. I want you to be really +ve about everything that’s going on with you right now. I want you to be relaxed and focusing on the babe you’ll have soon. I want every good thing for you MC. I also want you to not get all morose like me!! I know I’ll come good.

I think that you’re absolutely right – we will both be absolutely mad and it will all fall on FGS to rescue us! Poor thing – she has no idea! *chuckle*

OMG if I have not admitted myself into the Psych ward by the end of next week, I will be very suprised.

My cramps have seemed to gotten a bit stronger today. Just like a nasty nasty AF comming. I feel very gloomy, and sure it has not worked, and I have to admit, I spent about 3 hrs on the net yesterday, and was the first thing I did when I got up, checking "Cramping after ET, 5dp4dt, all that stuff" and I still just get myself more down, but cant help myself!!!

Think I may ring the nurses thisavo, just to let them know about the strong constant cramping, gone on for 3-4 days now...

OOOh MF, this is torture, .... have you been cramping since yesterday??? Swap you for the thrush!!! ;>

Oh lordy... this has to be the ONLY place someone would swap severe cramping for thrush...

Just thought I'd drop in and offer some advice. I've been in a 2WW thread quite a few times last year so I can relate to how you are feeling. As you progress through the anxiety starts to kick in and you think your going crazy...just hang in there as there are no wrong or right symptoms unfortunately. When I was part of the forum ladies where cramping and getting a BFP and other ladies where getting absouletly nothing and also getting a BFP.

Hi Terry! Thank you so, so much. What you’re saying is absolutely correct. And the sane, rational part of me knows it to be true. Sadly, the “crazy pregnant wannabe” part of me keeps sticking her ugly beak in and whispers in my brain all sorts of negative things. I think I will have to print out your words of “there are no wrong or right symptoms” and read them whenever Crazy Lady rears her mental head. :D

MC, you can have my thrush (ewww….) :o and I’ll take your cramping. I’ve also had the constant cramping (I think more mild than yours) and so I could care less if I got more. You know, I read somewhere that it is the Crinone that causes the cramps. Damn you drugs! (You can’t see me, but I’m shaking my fist in the air!) Do you think that you are more “crazy” about this tww than any other? I feel like I am. Every other tww I’ve had has been an anxious time but now I have so much more to read and think and wonder about. Is that what it’s like for you too?

FGS, I see you’re sneaking in here and that’s okay by me. Don’t let us scare you. We need you to be the sane one. We took a vote. You’re it. ;)

AFM ladies, I am in a particularly good mood today. I’m not sure why. I can only put it down to all the prayers my Mum, Dad, s-i-l, DH and I are saying. Perhaps God wants me to use this time to practice being patient. *sigh* For me, that’s the hardest thing because I’m not, in any way, shape or form, patient. Probably a good idea to learn seeing as I want to have children, huh?

Just had a bawling my eyes out session with DH and I weirdly feel better now.
Yes this Crinone has a lot to answer to!! I spoke to a nurse from Repromed and she said that the Crinone does make you feel crampy, and I am obviously one it really works well on!!:doh: She also said it makes us feel low and negative, but it's all good. She made me promise to put my feet up and RELAX and chill out. She also warned me it was way to early to poas if I was wondering (she read my mind;)) bugger!!XX

Oh, I have 1snowbaby at Blast stage. Slightly discouraged that if this cycle is no success, I will have to do anoth stim cycle, and wont be able to do that until May. Was hoping to get a FET in before then, but oh well this is the game I spose XX

I’m glad you got some of your tension out and that your DH was there with you. Sometimes all we need is a good cry, huh? I love that the nurse busted you for wanting to poas! Ha! :D My DH has banned me too. :(

How do you feel about being told to relax by your nurse? I mean, it’s all well and good but if you’re like me, you have things to do! My DH keeps telling me to relax but I can’t – I’m better off doing stuff. Sometimes I turn it on though, just for the craic. Like last night when I stood up to get my tea and I was all “Oh, don’t you worry. You just sit there. The twobies and I will do it!” He was worried for a nano second before I started laughing. He said that if we get a +ve result on my BT next week, he’s going to do everything. How sweet. In theory, being treated like the Queen of Sheeba is great. Realistically, it will do my head in. I’m too independent.

How come you have to do another stim cycle before the FET? I don’t know about that stuff and I don’t have any snowbubs so am curious. And why do you have to wait till May? I thought you can do stim cycles with only a month off. What’s up with that?

I spent a bit of time last night wondering and worrying about baby stuff and where we’ll put everything. Then I realised, it may be all for nought. I’m not being –ve, just realistic. No point in worrying about stuff that may not happen. But it’s good to have a Plan B. So if I may make so bold, tell the Crinone side effects to bugger off, consider but don’t dwell on what you might have to do and keep on thinking happy thoughts. That’s what I’m doing today. It worked for me yesterday! :)

And here’s something to be smiling about: after this weekend, it will be less than a week until somebody sticks a needle in you! How exciting! :D

And finally, let’s not forget dear FGS who ought to be joining us tomorrow. You won’t have to listen to me blethering on like a fool! :)

Cramps moved down yesterday afternoon to very low in my pubic area, and have pretty much stayed there since, so glad the AF feeling has buggered off for the moment.(sigh)

1 Week today my friend!!! I hope this week is a happier one, last week was awful, but we are both feeling more positive today, and FGS joining us will keep our minds off ourselves for a while!!!!!
