May seem like a strange question!!!
Since we have completed our family now - I'll always feel a little sad that I never got to have a little Zarius or Macarien OR a little Anakie Grace.
So anyone else have any name regrets?

Yep, woulda loved a little Micah, a Jovah, an Enid and a Morrow.
YES!! I so desperatly wanted to call JB Archer but DH hated it with a passion.
I would also have loved a Peyton, Harlow or Caydence
I dreamed about a little saffron for years but at the last minute used it as violets middle name and i will always wonder if i did the right thing. my ex used the name saffron as the password to all his wierdo porno sites so that took the shine off it a bit though lol, im surprised i even got past that!
After going through all the kids old photos I had a dream about having another baby girl ( I CANNOT believe I got clucky again) and naming her Willow.
*sniff
I have a feeling we'll end up with all girls so I'll miss out on all my boys names!
I love Jett, Levi, Livingstone, Slade and Ezekiel
Girls names I love but DH hates - Sancia and Eunice
I also love Presley - but I don't feel like we can use it cos our surname starts with P :(
I will regret not using the name Lila, i'm in love with it and it sounds great with dds name ..Lila and Grace i can just imagine calling them lol
*sighs* one day :)
Dannin for a boy or a girl....DH just doesn't like it at all... *sigh*
I am hoping this next baby is a girl JUST so I can use my girl's name I have wanted to use for a very long time. If we have another boy I have told my H we are getting a girl dog and calling her my fave name
Yep my little Averlie Anais will never be *sniff*
I really want to give my daughter the middle name Zaidie... I need to convince DH we want more children, I think! Or force the name on any granddaughter/great-granddaughter I have.
Another one here for Willow and Saffron. Just could never have used Willow with our lastname, plus just way too much Buffy connection at the time. Phillipa (Pippa) was the main contender last time around.
Erik was a boy choice along with Alaric.
ETA: Maz - don't you even dare see another one for us.
Yes... I regret not having Atticus or a Harper. My love for the book To Kill A Mockingbird was not a good enough reason for my DH :(
Mel, I love Zarius, but I don't think DH will be happy with that name.
I know we'll (hopefully) have the opportunity to have another bub, but DH is so strict on sticking with traditional names, that I don't see Amber Marie or Willow Jayne in there anywhere..
I love some of the other names too... gotta see if I can convince DH :p
I wish I had of been able to convince DH to go with Dannan when we were having DD2.
Yes, I'm sad that we won't have a Gabriel or a Lucien (or a Louis-Francois), or a mathilde sabine
I would have loved to use the name Byron for DS2, but it clashes with our surname LOL!
The boys name I would have used for DD is Kai.
I also would have loved the opportunity to use the girls name Isla.
Never mind! Maybe I'll save those names for a pet .
I ran out of girls names
But I am sad that I wont get a Hamish, Caleb or Tobias if we stop for sure now. Maybe in a few years...
I will never have a little Elodie or Jameson :(
Ohhh there are some lovely names in here!!! :D
For us, I'm just really sad I'll never have a Titus. It's my favourite name, Silas was next best (and I do love that name too!) I can't even think to change the spelling so I like it. Taitus, Thaitus, Tytus...they don't look as good to me.
Stupid culture with Tit us, or Tight arse. :( I don't think I could do that, I usually don't care about names that someone 'might' be teased about, but the likelihood just seems too high with Titus.
*sigh* Isn't it a beautiful name though? Titus...
I always wanted to use Sapphire as a girl's name.... and I love Willow too....
my regrettables include Willow, Aneke and Astrid...DH just doesnt want to even go there :(
And i really liked the name Silas for a boy, but again, DH just looked at me like i was a crazy lady lol.
luckily we have agreement on the name either way now...although i can always dream lol!
I used to love Maeve. It was all I wanted to call DD....but now as it doesn't look like I will have any more, the need to use it has lessened....actually I didn't even ask if we could use it for DS....
Yep... My little Cordelia Rose will never be... :crying: oh well...
Nelle - I can identify with where you're coming from there. I love Japanese names and my favourite boys' name has long been Hiro, which would have sounded a bit silly on a strawberry-blond, blue eyed, decidedly Anglo kid living in a borderline redneck part of the world. And as this is our last kiddo and it looks like she's a girl (or a reticent boy), we won't be having a Hugo now.
And I really love Aine for a girl, but Euan and Aine together are too similar in both spelling and pronunciation. Although, now I see them written together I kind of like it. I'd like to go with another Gaelic name for this one, but a) I'm a stickler for traditional spellings, but b) some Gaelic names spelled traditionally are a long way from being phonetic and can be really hard to get right.
I am sad i never got my Aricyn Mehkelti Eden *sob*..
Would have been the perfect name for no. 3
xx
I doubt I'll ever get to use my beautiful girls name and it breaks my heart :(
Carys Audrey Leontine
Although Ds1 is insistent he will get another brother and his name will be Fox
Suse; I reckon Caoimhe would be awesome with Euan..........but I could care less about spelling matching phonetics (Im a fan of gaelic names too!)
PP
I like it Freya, but I think my daughter would either hate me for saddling her with a name that needs constant explanation or would move to Ireland if I name her that though. Niamh is is one of my favourites - and is another good example of a Gaelic namesthat is non phonetic when spelled using English. Not many people outside of Ireland know that the 'mh' is pronounced 'v'.
TBH I think in this day and age it doesnt matter; my kid have names spelt exactly how they sound (although unusual in origin) and I STILL have to spell, respell and repeat it 20x to new people! So I figure atleast with an unusually spelled name, esp if its gaelic which means its actually spelt "normally", you expect to have to spell or prn it a million times.
I think a pp suggestion of using Hiro for a girl is good too!
I reckon whatever you pick will be fabulous though :)
I actually really like Hiro for a boy...
Cleo Elizabeth. *sigh* We may have more, but it was to be ds's name, and it jus doesn't feel right, giving it to another baby.
I wish I had stuck to my guns and called Eva Violet...
I wish I had stuck to my guns and called Imogen Daphne or Myrtle or Audrey...
I have always loved Luca, but Luca Hawker will just never work :(
I still really want a boy so I can name him Drazic :( It's the only 'unusual' name I would ever consider and it's the one I've had picked for a boy since I was 14 ;)
I also regret not being 'allowed' (lol but I suppose DH had to have a say, too!) to use Cailin for a girl - I love the song by Unwritten Law and again, it's been in my top 5 girl names since I was a teenager. I named DD1 Emily after the From First To Last song, it would have been nice to have both the girls named for songs that I really like :)
But, DD2's name is Hayley and it now reminds me of the singer from Paramore, who's cute as a button and has red hair like DD2, so near enough's good enough I guess :D
