just popping in, maybe I should have waited to post in the new thread
Hello lovely ladies!
I am going to join in here (again) I posted in the first thread and then forgot about it :o
I am using Weight Watchers to lose my weight. WW is the only way I know I will stay on track because I just have no willpower any other way  I am trying to get out and walk when I can but I live in a hilly area and pushing a pram with 2 kids = around 40kgs, so it's a fair workout and wrecks me for the rest of the day
My starting weight is 79kg with the aim of getting down to 65kgs :o
ooh new thread, such yackers, we'll have skinny fingers at least :D
Well good 40min walk for me tonight yay and hip much better after osteo pummelled me back into shape yesterday. She said hold off running until it's settled a little - fine by me. I'm eating well so far, yippee yay.
Enchanted - welcome back & nice ticker :)
Belf- would love to hear the details on your hip, I am seeing an Osteo for my pelvis and boy do they work wonders!
Edit- I hope my ticker is looking better soon by much more weightloss
Subscribing.....didn't get my walk tonight. VERY long story, but will endeavour to try again tomorrow. Going to spend the day at mum's, lots of hills there, so will walk there.
Subbing, too!
So, I don't get online much since my mum is staying with me, but I'm still actively pursuing my goals. Yesterday mum and I walked from Henley Beach to Glenelg (lol, most people won't know what I'm talking about). But that's 15km!!!!! :o It took us roughly 4 hours, because walking along the beach is sooo much harder than just walking along a road. Plus, we had to stop for swimming-breaks :D. Still have to weigh myself (too embarrassed to do that while mum is around) but my clothes are sitting looser already :cheer: and I am now fitting into size 16 pants :o YAY!!
How's everyone else? ZF and appletree, thanks for checking on me!!
And thanks for everyones well wishes! I am enjoying the time with my mum, but geez, she's on my case.... "Look at all these people eating white bread WITH their dinner *shakes head* No wonder people are so fat" :o (talking about my in-laws, her way of "hinting" that I shouldn't eat that way) Ahh she means well, but it does get annoying.
Subbing....
Excellent work Raupe!! Wish I had a mum like yours in the mission for me!
Raupe - yay for the size 16 pants hun, your mum sounds like my DP "do you REALLY need that" only issue he's a fatty aswell.. lol
How is everyone else. MIL is here today, not sure if DP is going away this w/end so might be a quiet one at home with the girls.
Wow guys, these shakes must really be working! Another kilo down today and that gives me 10kgs down!!!! I am now the same weight i was when i fell pregnant with DD almost 5 years ago! Woohoo!! Hope I can hold it through the weekend, I don't like df to know that I am having shakes so am just going to have normal meals as he would be annoyed and tell me to just eat healthy food blah blah blah...
Also, I have made it to my hip measurement goal, but have another 3cms for my waist and about 5 for my chest to go.
Saw my gp yesterday and don't have diabetes thankfully! Also, my thyroid is functioning normally, but I do have high cholesterol and high uric acid so I need to work on lowering those, she said the Csiro diet will do wonders, so will look into that :)
Wow appletree that's great!! I'm so happy for you and so proud of you! YOU ROCK!!
You know who else rocks? The person who RAK'd me!! I don't know who you are but MUCHOS SLOPPY KISSES TO YOU! I feel the lurve! I didn't even realise that I've been RAk'd until today! I'm soooo slow  Ahhh snail-brain....
Well done appletree, keep up the great work.. it's wonderful you have a GP that can help you out.
Raupe - YAY YOU GOT RAK'd.. wish we had the $$ to participate this yr, last yr i paid for a member and got 1 for another member.. this yr i would loved to get life and then get someone else :( damn finances.. where is that tatts win.
You deserve it hun.
Am looking forward to weigh in tomorrow but not sure i would have lost much.
I'm a bit nervous about weigh-in tomorrow, but I have exercised 6 days of 7 which is what I wanted. Walked more again yesterday & today. Might even manage a run again this week :crossfingers:
sending everyone good vibes for the scales/tape measure!
Hey Ladies...
Sorry I have been MIA for a while.... BUT I did lose 1,2 kg since the weigh-in last week... YAY  Have been busy, as I am trying to start my own business, only a few clients so far, but they give me work 5 days a week-cleaning their houses etc...
My week looks like this atm:
Monday- 1 h pilates session, rest of the day off
Tuesday- Cleaning approx 3-4 h
Wednesday- Cleaning 2 h
Thursday- Cleaning 4-4,5 h
Friday- Cleaning 4,5 h
Saturday- Relaxing ??
Sunday- Cleaning 2,5 h
I am also trying to get in some walks, but it is quite hard to find the time...
Does anyone know how many calories I would burn when doing my work (cleaning)?? Have tried to use a step counter, but don't know if it is accurate...
I also got accepted to TAFE, and will be starting in a few weeks... Think I might try to walk to and from, it's not that far (or at least I think it isn't), instead of driving, and having to pay for parking... $12 a day...
Gotta go... Bedtime...
See ya soon... :)
-Tj-
weigh-in done... 1kg loss for me, & 3cm off tummy - i'm thrilled
tj - dunno re cals, but well done, great loss!!!
No change this week, which is good as i thought i would have gained for sure... although i did just eat breakfast before weighing.. :wall:
I am not 100% on how to work out how many calories you burn but i think myfitnesspal has options you can enter in the exercise ??
How is everyone else going?
Quick post here, got a friends little guy coming over for the day.
I has still lost but I also gained  I was awesome earlier in the week and lost a heap and then gained some back but am now sitting at a loss of .6 since last Wednesday. So back on track today after a bit of a naughty weekend. Would love to get out for a walk but don't think I will be able to manage that with 2 x 3yr olds and an 18 month old
Have a lovely healthy day all! Will bbl to do some personals *mwa*
Well ok- either my body is coo-coo or my scales are, now i am 78.9 on my scales, i havent checked the wii yet though, so now with my gain from my scales, and my loss, i have lost nothing really, but i have,...... i think....
GW 67KG
SW 79KG
CW 79KG
WL
LTD
I think its safe to say i can start again from here hey!!!!!??????
Oh and i am sooo behind on the challange!! DS is at day care today so i might get a chance to hop on there for a bit!!
I've lost that elusive half a kilo, bringing my total loss to 3kgs. I'd love to be happy about it, but I know it's stress, and I know it's likely to come back on. Last time garbage like this happened in my life (and I'm sorry I can't be more specific), I lost 12kgs. I ended up being a size 8 and for those who know me, that's waaaay too thin.
ZF - My fitness pal lets you enter how many minutes you've exercised for, what sort of exercise it was and works out the calories you've burned from there.
PRMG.. thinking of you hun and i hope things improve really soon for you xxxoo
I walked lil man to Day care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY for us!!!!! Its not a huge walk by any means lol i would say genourously a 1k round trip, but its something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry i just had to share!!
Thanks Starbright!
1km may not seem far, but if you walk back to pick him up, then there's 2kms just today! Well done
wow looks like most of you had a loss too, I lost .8kg which I am excited about as it has only been 5 days since going on the scales, so looks like I'm on track to loosing a kg for this week. YIPPEE for me
Great work everyone!
And thanks ZF...
Well, I did heaps of walking today, but my food has been crap-skins... I will do the weigh in as soon as my mum leaves (another week and a half to go), because I can't get a single minute to myself to do it! Lol, she's so full-on! Still love her though!
Keep up the good work, I'll be back soon!
Am rejoining this, and will weigh in on Monday. I know I am back where I started this challenge, Christmas and various stresses have padded my bones (I comfort eat) but it stops today :D
Great work everyone!
I weighed in again this morning and my weight was .1 under the lowest weight I was on Saturday. So I think a mixture of AF and bloating bumped it back up  Either way, it's gone now and I am SOOOOO excited!!
Great losses everyone :) I didn't weigh in before I left for hols but boy is it going to be bad when I get home! Tons of drinking, hardly any control over what I am eating as the main meals are shared, and, I was so exhausted and upset today I bought myself a works burger for lunch which was MASSIVE! Plus, maccas on the way here and probably back again!
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day, I was planning on taking the kids to the bakery for breaky + a coffee so we don't wake everyone up and then going for a huge walk along the beach with ds in the ergo, but then remembered it's Australia day so the bakery may not be open! Probably for the best though that I just do the walk! Lol.
Where are you holidaying, appletree?
I'm at crescent head, halfway between port Macquarie and coffs harbour, my extended family have been coming here since I was a baby, it's so strange now coming here with my kids!
Nice! We went to Port Macquarie a few years back, stayed at Manning Point. Beautiful spot! Would be pretty awesome with your kids, rediscovering all the places you played at. Have a great time :)
welcome back traveller.. you know were here for you.. X-MAS sucked for my weight loss but were back on track.. kinda :)
How is everyone else?
I am feeling fat today because I have my jeans on which fit but I get a big roll when I sit :o
However my boobs are much smaller and my face is thinner, so just hoping my stomach and legs start to follow!! Will head out for a walk with the kidlets later on I think. I need to start toning my legs, might give the Wii Fit a crack too.
I need to set myself a goal, I have my goal weight but I am heading to Sydney in 5.5 weeks for a girly getaway! (Very self indulgent!) As of today my weight is sitting at 76.6, so if I set myself a goal of being 72 that seems reasonable right? So it's around 800gm a week I need to lose until I leave.
Lousy day, lousy week, lousy month, lousy year. Am currently cycling angry to make up for the emotional choc over the last few days.
I have had a good couple of days. Too tired to exercise (just weary after filling in lots of forms for uni, daycare, etc) but my calories have been under control. Am remembering to drink rather than eat when I am hungry as a first attempt to satisfy myself and usually it works :) Keeping my fingers crossed that my first official weigh in on Monday is not too disgusting.
Hi everyone, found this site last night and had a read through a few pages... wow you lot can talk ;) thought i might join and get a bit more motivation from you guys. I have been exercising and watching what I eat for 2 weeks now. I started out doing 12 crunches and 24 of the ones where you put elbow to opisite knee ( dont know what they are called ! ) am now doing 20 and 40 of these.... pilates and fit ball dvd`s once or twice a week and jog 1/2 km 5/7... started playing netball last week...OMG nearly killed me :) so im feeling a little better already and ive lost 5cm from my tummy too YAY. So thanks in advance for your well wishes and motivation, look forward to hearing all the success stories.
Here are my details
SW 82.9
CW 81.2
Not sure what my goal weight will be yet, will just see how i go and feel.....
Wlcome onemore!! That sounds like a great excercise plan!!! I think i will be getting some motivation from you!!
I managed to do another 2ks on thebike.. so if you add my walk i am up to 6k;s on our challange... i am ssoooooo behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Starbright, that is so fantastic!! Well done :)
Welcome onemore! Sounds like you are definitely on track and you have the right mindset, I hope you can keep up with our chatter ;) I have to say I was more than a little jealous about your 5cms off your tummy already, that is amazing! And the side to side ones are called obliques I think?
Hooray!! I am glad you are back Traveller!! Fingers crossed for you!
Oh belfie, hope the cycling works for you! Are you ok?
Lol enchanted at your tummy bulge, at least you don't have bulging under the waistband as well! I think 800g per week sounds great, good luck! Sounds like a fun weekend your going to have!
Another day of overeating here I am afraid! My cousin cooked dinner tonight, an Indian curry with homemade naan bread, it was amazing but I watched him melt an entire tub of butter to cook the naan in on the BBQ! I did manage the huge beach walk though and spent most of the day walking too and from the beach as it seemed like everytime we got there I needed to come back for something! I am loving strutting around in just my swimmers though, if it weren't for the challenge I would have been fully dressed at all times unless in the water! Though, to be honest I think that has been because I have had two kids on my own so don't have the time or hands to keep getting dressed and undressed!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday today!!
Aaaw thanks for asking appletree - am ok (just HA!), but battling with two littlies & a hubby who has been sick since early Dec (that'd be right after we got meds sorted for DD's reflux )... and the temptation to eat emotionally is BIG. DH has just started new meds, but still nowhere near ok yet... so when I have all 3 sleeping & have to forgo aus day festivitivies - plus madly catching up on housework... arrgh! Not a fun day :( Cycling was better than chocolate (that'd be the chocolate I'd already eaten :wall:). Sorry you shouldn't ask, too much comes out .
onemore - welcome to the group, i'm impressed by your exercise!
