Anyone else in the TWW period??

Hi all

Just had my ET today so Im in the TWW period. Just wondering if anyone else would like to wait with me and chat through the TWW.

This will be my #2 IVF Cycle and I already have 1 DD 13 and 1 DS (through IVF ) 15 months.

Yes I am in the 2ww. We struggled to fall pg for 2 years and eventually conceived Cooper on Clomid. Heartbreakingly we lost Cooper at 37 weeks to a cord accident. Because it took so long to fall pg with Cooper we started TTC as soon as we could. I have had 3 failed Clomid cycles where I didn't ovulate and I am now currently on a FSH/IUI cycle. I will find out the results just after Cooper's 6 month birthday so it will be a difficult time with lots of different emotions.

First I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I cant imagin losing a baby at 37 weeks. Ive had 2 ectopic pg but Im sure the pain of mine is nothing compared to yours.

Well lets just hope you fall pg in this TWW.

When is your TWW time finished. Mine is on the 4th June.

Hi Missy and Lyn, sorry to hear your losses, must be heartbreaking...I hope this month is it for both of you!

As of me, I am sort of at the end of my TWW, it hasn't been too bad for me because I didn't have any high hopes for this cycle anyway...we just had our 1st failed IVF stim cycle (got AF 4 days even before B/t, very sad) and have to wait 1 month to start FET when I get my AF...we did try naturally this month but hey if it hasn't happend for the last 3 and half years, why this month?

I am usually a bang-on-28-day-cycle-girl, now its day 31 no AF yet...I did notice somehow IVF messed my cycle a bit, I Oed on D17 rather than D14 usually...so that may explain why...I don't think I will test until Monday, what do you guys think?

Im not sure about the Oing I cant help with that. How could the IVF cinic stuff that up. You poor thing. I really hope you get your BFP soon.

As for testing. I WOULD DO IT. but thats just me. I wouldnt be able to wait....lol.

Well day 2 for me....oh boy this is going to be a long TWW... feeling pos(+++) and Im pretty sure Ill get a BFP at the end. I hope you ladies do too.

Hi BeiBei, I am a test junkie so I wouldn't be able to hold off. If you o'd on CD17 and today is CD31 that means AF is due today so I would test. I hope so much that you get your bfp! :pray:

Hi Missy, I had 2 follies when they did the IUI so I guess I have a chance of twins too. I am a twin myself so that would be weird! I know what you mean about being excited and scared. I will be excited when I do get my bfp but then a new set of worrying starts. I am so scared about being pg again. I really want to be and really want to bring my next baby home but I just don't know how I am going to get through 40 weeks. I now know that there is no safe time with a pg, until you have that baby in your arms.

Also in TWW, but in relatively good humour today.

Tell me why we test, when we rationally know its too early? Why?:wall:

I've just done a test. Negative, but I know with another 7 or 8 days until AF is due there is no way it would be positive. No chance.

I knew it would be negative, it was, and I'm not dissapointed because I know its too early...why do I do it...Why, Why, Why?

Its insane. Its like wanting to unwrap presents before Xmas I think.

LMAO! It is so normal to test way before you can. We all do it. I don't have an answer for it because I do it to. Even last month when I didn't ovulate and I was waiting for AF. She didn't arrive so I did a hpt. Of course it was negative - I DIDN'T EVEN OVULATE!!!!! I don't know why I possible thought I could be pg. I guess it is just our minds playing tricks with us.

Hi girls, I'm new and I'm also in the tww. Had my first cycle this month and a fresh transfer of two embryos on wednesday. I have since developed the worst cold ever (well at least since my last cold!) and am sulking as I have no idea whether this could cause probelms for the 'tinies within'.

I turn 39 this weekend, so I know my chances of having success on my first cycle are slim, but I fluctuate wildly from pessimism (then feel guilty) to optimism (then feel like I'm jinxing myself). Guess thats pretty normal? Anyway its great to know I'm not alone, and I guess time will tell :)Good luck to us all! :)

I am not feeling too bad actually, at least I can get on with it and start my 1st FET cycle, about to have the ' hello, I am BB and I just had my period today' kind of conversation with the clinic ( weird ah)...

Its funny we are not rational sometime when it comes to TTC Nicole1 isn't it? I know exactly what you mean about the test...hang in there

Well first off I want to ask a question: Is anyone taking Crinone as a Progesterone booster and if so are you having really weird dreams. I seem to be dreaming when ever I fall asleep. And about the weirdest things. :doh: I have no Idea what is going on. Thought it might be the Crinone????

Lynn Yes I know what you mean. I seem to worry about falling pg (hoping it happens) and when I find out I am, I thing YAY and am so excited but then the worry sets in. I say to my DH Ill be happy once I get past the 12 week mark. Then It seems to go to 24 weeks and so on. lol. You never stop worrying untill that baby is safely in your arms. LOL @ you still testing when you didnt O. Now thats so wishful thinking. But thats ok you just never know...:lol:

Nicole1 Hi there and Welcome. Im glad your feeling good. Thats the way to be. I know we always keep doing HPT and know its going to be neg and we keep doing it...lol... I think most ladies just think, Ok I might just be far enough along and test but as soon as its neg we say, Oh im not far enough....lol. Try again in a couple of days. I hope its pos(++++++) for you!!

drbeee hey dont ever say it cant happen first go. It did with my with my DS. I was 35 and first cycle and bang I was pg. You just never know. I wish you loads of luck. So do you Have a bt if af doesnt come on the 3rd. I have to have one on the 4th and you had your ET a day before me. Just wondering. Good luck!!!

I will be joining your 2ww as of today! I am on my first IVF cycle so I don't expect miracles either...but you have to start somewhere. I have a little (big!!) 4 year old boy conceived naturally, so who knows why it is not working this time......getting too old (I am 37) I suppose.

Does anyone know if certain poses in Yoga should be avoided?

So this is your first IVF well you can fall first time so dont think it wont happen. 37 wow that not old. Im 36 and I think Im young...*rolles eyes* lol

Good luck with it all and When I have my ET I dont really do alot. DH and MIL take care of it all for me. I just sit and dont lift anything heavy. Including my 15 month old son. That kills me but I want to give these little embies all the help they can get. As for yoga I wouldnt do it personaly but that is just my choice. Just take it easy for about 4 days cause the embies would have implanted by then.

Runnermum - welcome to the TWW. I hope you get a bfp at the end of it! I am trying to do normal things but take it easy at the same time. I'm not sure about Yoga, but just do what you feel comfortable with or check with your ob.

Runnermum - i'm with you - i started my TWW this morning after finally having an IUI cycle that was successful in getting some follies!! woo hoo!!

i've had my BT scheduled for the 8th of june - which is almost three weeks/1 when i asked why, nurse said it was to make sure i was well overdue before they did the test - OMG - there's no way i'll be able to wait that long!! i can see myself being one of those ladies that tests too early!

briggsy's girl - welcome! I hope the next 3 weeks fly by for you. I am similar. I have to wait 16 days (2 extra days!!!) Because I am having hcg injections, they need to make sure that it is out of my body before they do a pg test. :crossfingers: for you

hi lynn - i have to take the booster hcg shots too, but i think it's more a financial thing for the clinic we go to - they don't want someone going to the trauma of having a bt, with the bill that comes with it, right on 14 days

thanks for the support - it is great to be here on this forum! I was told today that out of the 9 eggs collected, 7 of them are just great - 4 of them are of grade 1, 2 are grade 2 and 1 is grade 3. So I have a 7 month 'supply' of luck..... starting today.

The hardest thing is the waiting, like everyone says. I can do all things normal, except I have to keep my heart rate under 140bpm - which is NOT normal for me as a competitive athlete......but I will !!

Thanks chicken Im teary and really anxious not sure how I will cope at work next week but as they say what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. Im just coming to terms with the fact that even though they said our first IVF attempt would most likely be unsucessful I was quietly hoping that it would work. I even planned when I would start maternity leave how stupid thats called counting your chickens before they hatch. So I guess we will have to wait AGAIN. Good luck with this waiting game it really sux I know but hopeflly you will be my inspiration to keep going when you get your BFP. One of us has to be lucky this time xxxxx

Oh Collo it will make you stronger. Awwww its fine that you planed as I did the same thing. Its natural. All you can do is keep trying, cause believe me in the end its so worth it. Let me know when you will be starting and how things are going. Once again im sorry.:hug:

Well, I've been crying on and off since 5am when a second day of low temps and AF was well in swing (I'd been hoping only spotting).

I'm about 4 or 5 days earlier than I expected. No explanation.

Feel just miserable.

Well ladies have the worst cold ever and so does DS. Feeling like crap but at least DS is sleeping.

I dont feel any different but probably to early. Though maybe my nipples were abit tender but think its all in my head. I think with DS I was about 2 days of having the BT when I was sick and massive sore boobies. So way to early Id say. :)

briggsy's girl - the bt is to check my progesterone levels. The last 3 cycles I haven't ovulated at all (that was on Clomid). This cycle I did FSH injections/IUI and I think I have ovulated because my est and LH levels surged which hasn't happened in my last few cycles. Had my second hcg injection today - OMG it hurt!! Does it hurt when you do it? It isn't so much the needle but when I am pushing the stuff in.

HCG wasn't too bad - but i'd had bad eperience with and antagonist injection before hand - that one hurt like hell - i bled really bad on the last one and have a massive bruise on my tum! i didn't have synarel, and O was monitored by u/s, so i don't get a BT til the 8th of june (cos YEAH, i'm really gonna last THAT long!)

hope your results are what they need to be tomorrow hun - i think you must be a few days ahead of me (i have first booster thursday i think)

Today was my second hcg booster. I had one last Friday and I have the third and final one this Thursday. I am 6dp IUI today. My poor tummy is so bruised from all the fsh injections and now the hcg :cry: It will all be worth it in the end :pray:

I don't have my bt until 31 May but I'm the same as you - as if I can wait that long! I think I will start testing next Monday.

i'm just not a patient person in the best of circumstances - how can they expect me to wait that long? as if AC isn't tortuous enough!!
