Hi Kellie - welcome!! I am Michelle - mum of 3! Ages 9, 5 and 19mths! You must be very busy with 4 kiddies - how much do you work??!!
I am so over this rain - I have dirty washing everywhere and no where to wash and hang it!!! Anyway, I am off to the gym this morning to do a vlass. I have until July to lose 10-15kgs! Have a ball to go to and I want to look good!!! So have to pull my finger out!! :o

Taking Nick to a specialist today, found that he has been getting a white dot in his eye instead of red eye so I took him to an optometrist yesterday and took the pics with us, but Nick wouldnt sit still so she couldnt get a good look at his eye, so referred us to specialist. Cross your fingers 4 me, I think its nothing but you know how it is, you worry anyway.

Oh ruby - baby number 2 how exciting!!!! Yeah I am always up for a workout buddy - I just need the motivation of someone else to tell me to get my butt off the comp and do something!!!! Also, DH doesn't like that I spent so much to join the Gym and don't go :lol:
Anyway, I better get off here and find my shoes and socks!!

Welcome to Kellie. As the username states, I'm Sara. I have 2 girls, Briley and Colby. I am also an aspiring Midwife and am going through the whole application process with QTAC at the moment. I have stopped and started my Bach of Nursing 3 times out at JCU and have now given up and am applying to the unis that offer Bach of Midwifery around Brisbane. Are you studying with UniSA??? I applied to them too last year but they wanted me to do my Nursing for the first year and apply for a transfer. I had to be getter all distinctions to have a chance at my transfer being approved though. How are you finding the course?
Shell/Ruby - I go to Kirwan Fitness 3 days a week. By myself! I drop the girls to Kindy Monday, Wednesday and Fridays morning and then head over to the Gym. I am usually there around 9.05 if either of you want someone to work alongside.

Shell - what gym do you go to?? lol at looking for socks and shoes.. I couldnt find any socks this morning an had to wear thongs on my walk.

Ruby - Yep there is a creche. You do have to pay a small fee though. Not sure how much. Shauna would know better than I. Thanks for the invite hun. I actually already have plans for Saturday. I will get to meet you sooner or later! hehe!

Hi Kellie!! I am about to jump over to the other thread!! IKWYM about absent husbands, DH has 3 months away starting on the 2nd.
I spoke to Tanya's mum yesterday, she was hoping to be coming home today. She has been going slightly nuts in hospital because apart from IV antibiotics she is feeling fine. It also helps to keep the shingles away from Indy, coz she is still too little for the chicken pox vaccine. She has been in for 14 days.
I have to go to Castle town again today. I hope that Target has had a delivery fo the stroller I want!! My new phone should be at the Voda shop today so i need to go pick that up.

Tanya has had Meningitis and Shingles. It hit her harder because she had her spleen out when Xav was born.

Did I tell you the company that Im having my adult party through, I'm also looking at working for, anyway I was tell ing Hubby about this last night and he was TOTALLY against the idea. He says 'You can't do that, thats no job for a mother.. what if Nicholas finds out'. OMG - I ****ed myself laughing. He is such a prude, not to mention dillusional.. men really have no idea!! x

I go to The Beachhouse Gym. Is nice, and has a creche also. Did the kickstart class this morning, think I am going to die!! My arms are so sore - is hard to type!!! Am going to feel it tomorrow!!!

Saram - The cloth nappies r going gr8 (thankyou!). I had my 1st poo in them yesterday, wasn't pretty (It had whole grapes in it, Tai was dry reaching!) but we got threw it!

Ruby - Should be able to make it to your tupperware/adult parties!!! Sounds like a blast!! My Mum lives not far from you around in Crestbrook so she should be able to watch kids if hubby is at work. We are going away this weekend so won't make it to your bbq, bummer, thanks for the invite anyways!
We have not done anything all holidays so being a long weekend, we are going to go up to Lake Tinaroo to a holiday house to stay for 2 nights!!! Anyway, better go, is my baby girls 5th birthday today!!!! Better make her a spesh breakfast!!! xx

I saw Tanya yesterday at maccas we took the kids for a play and she is looking great!! still a little tired but good otherwise.
Ruby, Kirwan Fitness has a creche its $2.0 for an hr from memory...i dont tkae my boys they hate it, very clingy :( so i go at nights.
Welcome Kellie, i too have a defence DH, but he isnt away all that often. I am a married mum (25) to 2 boys lachlan 2yrs & lucas 10mths.
all good here except we have a summer flu but we are at the tail end of it now, YAY!! Lachlan is on iron suppliment due to drinking too much milk :( and so far his appetite has improved slightly so i dont feel so bad for havin to pin him down and forcing it in. quick run down for those not in the know..Lachlan started to go into renal failure at 4wks old and has been diagnosed with a form of renal displaysia so lots of checkups and last lot of bloods found he was borderline aneamic due to poor diet (not that i didnt feed him he just wouldnt eat) and only drinking milk which drains the body of its iron if too much is consumed. well thats us...sorry if i bored some of you :P
Oh and when is the next bellybelly catchup, i so want to come :) or i am offering up my place for one whenever suits..

We have stillbeen looking for work, but its hard because it seems that all the jobs for Tai are down south :doh: So, I am sad to say that I am starting to pack the house today, pretty upset, I was really enjoying it here. We were even looking at buying a house. & the other thing is, I just sort of think, ok we'll move to wherever but then how long till they all get sacked?! Damn the economy!!
Anyway, enough of my whingeing!
Shauna - Thats gr8 that his appetite is back! Must be a big stress off you.
Would love to come to the next catch up! (Pref not Lollipops obviously because of $$)

Well, I'm sad to inform you that I have to say "Bye" to you all. Unfortunatley, Tai hasn't been able to find work here. The jobs dried up soo quick, its scary! We have started to pack the house 2nite and will pack the rest tomorrow, then we are putting it all in storage (We'll leave the keys with our friends who will do it over the w/e 4 us) and we will leaving early Thursday morning. We're going to go to Brisbane and try and get Tai work there. I used to work at a clothews shop there, I called them and they said I could start work for them as soon as I get there so thats something at least! and if we have no luck there we will head for the Hunter Valley (NSW). I'll try and get on here and say Hi as often as I can. I'm truly sad to be leaving, really loved Townsville and was about to start study etc, its all abit depressing really but I guess you've got to just keep going.

Well it looks like 2 of us are loving you's and leaving you's! We leave for Brisbane on the 10th of Feb.
For those of you who don't know, I got into Bachelor of Midwifery at Aust. Catholic Uni in Brisbane. :dance: :dance:
Its been a long haul to try and get into my dream course but its going to be well worth it!
It was great knowing some of you! I will try and get along to a meet before we leave so I can say a proper goodbye.
Ruby - So I might see you down there! What area are you guys looking at living in? We have applied for a house at Sandgate.

I was actually running with our line of coincidences. :p We are also trying to find a new place around Sandgate/Brighton as the owners of our rental want to occupy. You mentioned that you were flying down to have a look at a place in Sandgate and that next day I went along to a open house to have a look at a rental on Wakefield street - and as we seem to have so much in common I thought it would be really funny if we were actually at the same place at the same time. But our coincidences didn't run that far :lol: I have checked out nearly every rental around this area so if you want to know about any of them let me know.

Its me finally ha ha how is everyone going?
Im not too bad. Firstly i want to thank everyone for the well wishers and thanks Ali and Shauna for updating the others..it was a pretty horrible experience I got sick on boxing day thought it was just a cold...ignored it then a few days later i started getting really bad head aches were i could not walk/ drive went to the gp a few times first time they put it down as a stress head ache, then new years eve i went to the emergency department were they gave me some pain killers and fluid i improved until the next morning when the head aches returned. The following sunday went back to gp because i had a rash he said it was mossie bite and to stop taking pain killers i was on asperdren(sp) and panadol every 4 hrs head aches got worse went back to emergency were they did blood cultured, ct scan, and the a lumbar puncture(which really hurt) then they discovered it was meningitis and shingels i was admitted into a isolated ward for 14 days off treatment. The first week was pretty horrible as every time a nurse entered the room they had to gown up etc and i couldnt see Indy, as i could have been infectious. But i seem to have recovered quiet well and hope thats the sickness for me over for this weekend.

Its sad that we have to say good bye to Ruby and Sarah but it seems they are both off to better things..so good luck girls with your future travells! Sarah i envy you going off to do midwifery something id love to do, but like you im not interested in doing the nursing!
Everyone else im glad use are all keeping well and kids too. To those i havent seen in ages hope to catch up again soon. Ok i better shut up now ive told my life story..

I need a rec for a bulk billing GP for kids - Rip is a month late for his 1yo needles and I have something else I want to get him seen on but the GP we usually go to doesnt BB kids and its starting to give me the irrits.
