    Horn sewing cabinets

Just wondering who here has a Horn sewing cabinet? Looking at getting to keep my sewing area neating and to not have to spend so much time setting up etc. Are they worth it, is the quality any good. With the amount of money they cost I do not want to make a dud purchase. Thanks

I have one, not that I use it for sewing machine or sewing. hehehe. I find it fantastic. Good quality and sturdy. I love that it folds in on itself and becomes quite small and can be put out of the way. I say it's worth it, but that's one womans oppinion...

I have one which I inherited from my Nana (already stocked with sewing machine and fabric etc)
I would have never bought one especially, because they are so BUTT ugly (maybe they look good now?)
But they are brilliant for storing your sewingmachine. Although I reckon you could adapt a small tv cabinet or similar for cheaper.

Given that I rarely use my machine and we don't have heaps of space or a room to devote to sewing, it's a good option to have stuff dumped on it!! It is also very compact compared to other methods of storage.

Thanks for the info. I am still in such a dilemma though, last time I researched them they were much cheaper and I think there were different designs. Just not 100% happy with any of them. I was going to buy a cabinet and a loom, but now I can't. So thinking the loom might win, as I can set up the sewing machine on the dining table if need be.

oh I have one and I love it! mine's quite big though..but it folds down really quite small...will be handy if we ever move to a place where I dont have a room for my sewing and it has to share with something lol!
