Oh oh oh!!!! me me me!!!! [Muppity jumps up and down]

I love it. I spent time each day doing something. I can't do it in front of the TV because I loose count so I knit then - but lunchtime and bedtime activity is cross stitch.

I am about to start a whole series of nursery rhyme ones that are each about A4 size - so should take me a while

Me! Not doing too much now that Samuel's arrived (before his afghan was finished, dammit!), but when it's cool enough I try to do some before bed each night.

Oh yea so I'm not the only one!!

Funny you should say that Leash, I'm about 3/4 of the way through the one I'm doing now (beautiful butterflies that I started when I was pregnant with DS - that's how much time I get to spend on it now lol) and DH asked me what I was going to do next and suggested I do a family pic - I was like how the hell do you expect me to do that!! I really don't think I'm at that kinda level yet but I'd be really interested to know how you'd go about it?

I'm glad people love cross stitching as much as I do!

Ooooooooooooo... I can't tell you my secrets if I'm gonna try and make some spare change But it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard. Especially colour matching, though its not too bad really. It took me ages to set the colours as a palette in photoshop, but now I have its not too hard

Me, have just picked it up again after about 5 years as I am currently laid up with a stress fracture. I finished Lachlan's birth sampler that I started when I was pregnant with him (he'll be 5 in april lol) and I am now working on a photo of Kameron that was taken when he was around 2, that I scanned and turned into a pattern. Just brought some more cottons online a couple of days ago as I didn't have all the colours i needed for Kameron's pattern.

Kameron's will take me a few years I think LOL. Well it already has. When I am back on my feet my normal life will return and the cross stitch stuff will return to the wardrobe Probably be dragged out again when I have all the kids in school.

Adkins, there is a program you can buy called Cross Stitch Made Simple. You scan the pic into the computer, upload it to the program answer a few questions about how many colours you want, cloth size etc and voila.

I love my cross-stitch. Every year at least one person gets one as a present.

There are actually a few computer programs that will create patterns from photos. JB Hi-Fi usually has them.

Currently doing a Wizard in front of his spell book. My favourites are the Fantasy ones. The Fox Collection has great patterns and kits.

LOL Leasha. I saw the program on Ebay as well the other day. Had a few brand new copies available. Can't remember where I brought mine from originally, I have had it for probably 6 years.

I love Cross stiching too. I have done some cat pictures, a clown and a few other small things. I am currently working on a cat one where the cat is sitting on bookcase. But in saying that things take me forever to do because I go through phases where I do heaps then leave ti for a while

Count me in too! I am halfway through Alister's birth sampler (I had put it away for a while). I've done one for each of the kids - they are in my gallery here on BB. I have a set of 30 little Christmas stocking decorations that I meant to do last Christmas, but I couldn't fine a hoop small enough till just recently. I sit in front of the telly doing mine mostly.

I have a DMC pattern creator that will do all the colours for you - you can even do photos etc. Its so easy to use.

Muppity - I would love it if you could link me with where you got your current project from!

Oh, me too! I actually started when I was 10! (yeah not something I told my friends!) My favourite one I've done is a picture of 3 wolves. I've also done heaps of horses. I really have to get round to getting them framed.
