Cross sticher here as well, but to be honest I have not touched it since I fell pregnant with number one Would love to get back to the one I started years ago "Castle Sampler" by Teresa Wentzler (I love her stuff), I have another big one waiting of hers called Fortunate Traveller. A lot of blended threads, so takes a bit of set up to get some stitching happening.

Got into it when I was 12 or 13yo. At High School they had "extra subjects" of an afternoon. We were late rocking up to enrol and all that was left was Danish cross stitch. Not impressed at the time, but really enjoyed it once we got into it.

put me down as a xstitcher. I started an A-Z 10 years ago, lost the pattern, had a friend find the pattern but still haven't finished it yet! If I could, I would do it 24/7

does anyone know where you can get really good patterns from? There used to be a really good shop in Adelaide years ago that had them. I'm after a birth sampler one for bubs.
Are you still in Adelaide ?? There is Gina's which is on Research Rd in Pooraka. Not sure where in Adelaide you are if you live here. Pretty sure Gina's is still there. I was going to take a drive there this coming week as I need 1 thing of DMC cotton that I somehow missed on my online order the other week.

OK me as well!! I started when a friend was having a baby 8 years ago and did a birth sampler for her and its just got bigger since then. I am 3/4 of the way through DD's which is a little girl reading a book with toys around her. I had better get off bb and back to crossstitch!

    me too

I started when I was pretty young (after my mum taught me how to hand sew, knit and crochet) and I used to make bookmarks for my friends with their name and a little pic on them (self designed)

I did a sampler for DS1 all i had to do was put his name etc into it once he was born.

I used to use graph paper to create my designs ... but then again I have been told I'm pretty crafty like that.

I really should pick it back up again (now with 4 kids, don't really have much time for anything, for instance a blanket I started crocheting for DD who is now 5 ) but yeah, will get back around to stuff eventually
