If you wear or make cloth breast pads I NEED YOU!

Im making my own Breast pads ... I'm going to buy some from maz too as hers will be a lot better but for now I have a few question for those who wear or make cloth breast pads

    * does velour get too hot on warmer weather if so is there an alternative you prefer?
    * bamboo or hemp inside? Where do you buy yours I tried spotlight and they don't stock in my area

Any other tips I will be most grateful

I'm pretty sure you can only buy bamboo and hemp online.
Maz makes hers with minky... I used mine in the middle of summer and never had a problem with breathing. Anything is better than the plastic sposie ones I think! They were horrible

I made mine with bamboo fleece and bamboo velour, we're in Nth Qld and I never had a problem with breathing, but then I'm not a heavy leaker (the amount of moisture in them is going to be the thing that causes discomfort). Maz's minky topped ones were comparably breathable to the bamboo velour.

i made some but because it is difficult to overlock a circle and get it all even and to not get puckers in any of the layers, i only wore mine when i was home alone and wore Maz breast pads the rest of the time. Much less obvious.

So, maybe I'm a freak, but I prefer flanno to my bamboo and cotton velour pads. Flannelette, bamboo, fleece, thats how mine go. And one set that are flanno, bamboo, minky.

Which side do you have against the breast? I was actually going to use flanno for my outer layer (not facing breast side)
