I always wanted to know what fatquarters were for too but was too embarrassed to ask

Thanks Elund, I love it too

I just finished off a nappy that was a gift for a girlfriend, so I can tick that off now

I also made a pair of pants for Fred for when she is taken for walks in the pram, nice and warm fleece with extra room to go over pants. I've popped up photos in my blog, along with a couple of ramblings about a&d... my other passion

Ok, I would love some advice please

my April goal was to finish Panda's quilt top - what I have done so far, I did a year ago just after Easter. It's come out a bit smaller than I wanted & I was going to add a black border to each square to make it a bit bigger & define them more - after looking at it this morning though I'm not so sure. It might be better as it is.

I've posted pics HERE and I would really really appreciate some feedback.
WDYT - should I just join all the squares I have (& make it a throw instead of a bedcover), or add black borders?

ETA - I haven't photographed them all but there are 25 squares.

I really like the idea of the black borders, so that each panel is defined, can't wait to see it finished, the panels look fantastic!

Love the nappy and pants ryatha, and I can't remember if I commented on your bag that was a top the other day, but it looks great! I am really loving all the recycling of materials, so cool!

Hoping to finish the biased binding on the second bib this afternoon or evening if I don't get super tired, which is what happens most day Then it is jsut snapping and working on the quilt.

Went to Spottys and got more thread for the quilt so no excuse to work on it now

Woo Hoo!!! I have finished 3 items on my WIP!!!!

    2 x Bibs
1 x Quilt, I just had to do the snaps

I was going to do some on the quilt this arvo, but I have to go to Spotlight and get some brown thread - darn it So I might pop up later this afternoon if I have a chance, if not it will have to wait a little longer

How is everyone else going with theirs?

Fleur, I like it with the black borders,

Well done on finishing some items Beema

DS's flanny PJ's are waiting, ready to be sewn together. I'm a bit scared because this is the first time I'll be sewing clothing! LOL. Going to have a crack at it tonight once the kids are in bed.

Re: The last stitch challenge April/May- finishing your wip

Yesterday I started stitching the pyjamas and it took me more time figuring out the instructions and working out my sewing machine than it did of actual sewing hoping to get more done today.

One down! Yay! I finished the appliqué on a top (which is a singlet so I hope I can wear it soon)

Next is the quilt for dd. It's my first quilt and is tiny- only wall hanging size. I have the machine all set up and just need to stitch the quilting lines and do the binding. Fingers crossed for some time tomorrow!

Going to have to put my WIP on hold for a while..long story but basically our landlord came today and took her kitchen table, so until we get a new table I have nowhere to put my sewing machine A little bit more notice would have been nice! Grrr

    Edging on a quilt
    Handles for some bags
Backing and edging on 2 quilts
    Pillow slip for DH
    Repair track pants
Iron transfers onto calico for memory quilt

    My to start list:

    A fair few quilts

The memory quilt will have to wait til mum has time, because I need her patchwork expertise.
