Melbel, that's what i was thinking. just playing around with material for the front layer to see what works best- i have flannelette, chenille, and cotton that i have already here.
I was checking through my material cupboard and found some left over curtain material. It is the stuff with backing to keep the sun out, but looks water proof. I have made a couple of trial bibs using them. One has curtain material on back and flannel on the front. Second bib has 3 layers with curtain layer in the middle, chenille on one side and cotton on the other side. I am just working out how to do the joining bit at the back so hopefully i can make it wearable with either side outwards.
I will try them out and report back in case anybody else is interested. I am still keen to try the PUL as well. Do you reckon the PUL would be ok as an outer layer? ie against the bub? or better to sandwich it.
