I liked the hunger games, I also didn't mind twilight when I first read it (can never read it again though), I am trying so hard to read the first book, but the style of writing is really making it hard for me. I find it so bad that I am finding it difficult to get involved in the story.

Downloaded the sample and have read that. Not intriguing me enough to decide to read the whole book. Hmmm will need to think about it.

I subscribed to this thread when I first saw it appear, was away and on my iPhone so here I am now.

I am half way through the second book. I am loving it. I love a book that keeps me wanting to know, Grey is a very complicated man and it has me wanting to know why. I love a book that keeps pulling me in. The electricity between the two characters is fantastic.
I read it on my Kobo, the reason Ocean Princess has mentioned is why is was not a great seller in hard copy and has become I think the number 1 download for Ibooks.
The "mommy porn" comment is from the US. I would say that would come about as I don't think too many women are in relationships with men who have a red room, or possibly even get the vanilla sex they talk of in the book (even in Australia). I would imagine it may inspire a few relationships perhaps?

I bought the trilogy on my Kobo for $7.99 per book.

Yes. But the writing is far worse than Twilight. I can't believe I actually live in a world where that sentence is possible
