so classic books here girls!!! what a well read bunch you all are! lol

i'm also with the austen group and have read P&P a few times as well as Persuasion, which is my absolute fave austen novel.

otherwise The Amtrak Wars by Patrick Tilley. Anyone inot scifi/fantasty books will love this. It's a real mergeing of sci fi and fantasty and just fab. not the usual 'farm boy has a gift he doesn't know he has and then he rules the world once he masters his powers' stuff lol.

The Tide Lords by Jennifer Fallon - also a very interesting and different take on the fantasty genre. dh and i read these together and we still talk about them!

Agree...Persuasion is her best work! Such biting wit and characterisation!

Lord of the Rings - well over 100 times. Love that book. Plus the other Tolkein ones, but we're only looking at up to 20 times with most of those.
Hitchhiker's Guide (etc), The Eyre Affair (etc), The Ship Who Sang (etc), Anne of Green Gables, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (for a re-take on the classic), the Discworld books (read at least once every other year), Poirot... There are many, many books I have read many, many times.

All book club books are read twice: once quickly so I know the plot, the second slowly so I can discuss the book in-depth and talk about motivations etc. Plus so I can do a synopsis for the other book club members, who often don't even manage the once.

I've read Anne McCaffrey's entire 'Dragon Riders of Pern' series about 3-4 times. That's a LOT of books, lol!

I actually own them all too. Not only that, but I pretty much own every book in all of Anne McCaffrey's other series too. I counted them recently and I think it was over 70 books. Obsessed much? Lol!!!
