My sister had over 400 in her collection
I read them until I entered a competition for writing one. had to write a sex scene - difficult when you've not experienced it!!! lol
But yeah - give me jackie collins anyday![]()

I like reading them because you don't have to think or analyze what you are reading.![]()
I love reading them same reason as Indie its just a nice easy read...
I do like the different storyline types some of the sexy series well ![]()
I used to read them when I was a teenager - mainly because my Nan had heaps of them and I could read them in a couple of days over my holidays - although to be honest it was more the Woman's Weekly ones rather than M&B - but same genre...
my mum has heaps, whenever I'm at her place I devour them - a quick 2-hour read that's not earth-shattering.
Which do you prefer? I'm partial to the medical romance & sweet romance ones.
When my sister and I worked at the hospital we used to buy them for 20cents each at the volunteers store once a week. Once we'd read them, we'd donate them back again, LOL.
I have authors I like and some I really don't. I hate the ones where the man is incredibly mean and the woman is incredibly stupid. (There are loads of these.) I tend not to finish those ones.
I like the romance, I like the impossibly 'intuitive' love-making (not just intercourse, filthy-minded girls!) - it is complete escapism for me.
TD, DH was the first guy I fell in love with, and we have been together since I was 18. I didn't have a serious relationship before him. So I find them interesting on a relationship level - particularly the relationships that are constant bickering until the inevitable mad pash, LOL!
Dach, do you really think they are lucrative? I would've thought they'd be a dime a dozen?
