I loved FITA series, was a bit weird, and heartbreaking, and then weird... but pretty cool read.

Garden of shadows made things make a lot of sense, kind of understood how prequels worked after that.

i have read alot of the books but considering only the first 4 were writen by virginia andrews and apparently there is some family truth in those books.. its a bit freaky
then to have another family member take over the writting and to take over the same style has me wondering how far spread those family issues go...

I read this series as an early teen, and found it all really quite disturbing. I still think occasionally of the boy with a pitchfork and stuff. <shudder>

I read heaps of those as a teenager, loved them.
But now as an adult I think the issues are just too depressing and disturbing. I've gone soft in my old age, I can only handle nice stories or I can't sleep at night!

I first read them at about 12...gave me quite an education ...and then again at about 14 I think.

Looks like I am off to the shops. I love Virginia Andrews and that series is my favourite. I only have Flowers In The Attic now though. Thanks for that.

I noticed a difference between the Virginia Andrews books & the change when she passed away & they went to VC Andrews. I didn't like the latter ones nearly as much.

I didn't realise there were so many different series! I read the FITA and Heaven stuff when I was a kid - utter rubbish, but it's not going to stop me re-reading them LOL!! Off to Big W tomrrow
