I love reading too but tend to go for more 'chick lit' types of books that I can read and get lost in but don't tax my tired mummy brain . So if you are interested in those types - I love Marian Keyes, Monica McInerney, Cathy Kelly, Maggie Alderson. I have really loved all their stuff. It's not too light in a fluffy romance novel type of way though!
My absolute fav book is called Three Wishes by a author called Liane Moriarty. I absolutely loved it - laughed, cried, the lot. It's about 3 sisters and dealing with family life - kids, relationships, their relationships with each other etc. I recently re-read it and relate to alot of stuff in it now I'm a mum.

Or how about Jodi Picoult? She is the author of My Sisters Keeper - which is out at the movies now. Apparently the movie is a lot different to the book. The book is brilliant and very thought provoking in a 'what would I do in that situation' way. I've read alot of her stuff and loved it - I really loved Salem Falls which about a Amish family. Very interesting. Most of her stuff revolves around an event and then a court case, and I find her stuff very hard to put down.
