    Twilight

Out of sheer curiosity and thinking I'm not going to enjoy it at all, I finally decided to rent the movie and see what all the hype is about. OMG I absolutely loved it and just want to see the second. But I love reading too and so have got the Twilight book out from the Library and have started reading it. I now see the movie in my mind when I read and I sort of know what is coming next. So what did you do? Read the books first and then watch the movie or the other way around?

I read the books first. I too was curious about what all the hype was about when the books were out. I gave in and I will admit I'm hooked, and hang out for the next movie.

I've seen two of the movies and didn't like them - I found them to be a bit slow moving and didn't appreciate the special effects ... haven't read the books though. I know I'm probably the only one on the planet

I read the books first and really enjoyed them, then I watched the movies, which I thought were absolutely terrible! Those movies killed it for me. I can't stand Kristen Stewart - a cardboard box would emote more and have better screen presence, and lucky all RPatz mainly has to do is brood and look pretty because his acting leaves much to be desired. I'm going to now...

Well I LOVE it....I too read the books after the movie came out out of curiosity and became like an addict I would sneak reads whenever I could! I had the series read in 10 days...My DH thought he was a single dad in that time

Its not for everyone but I LOVE them...hence "forks" in my Avvy

I agree. Except I don't find him good looking either I liked the books, but I haven't bothered seeing past the first movie.

I saw the 1st Twilight in January this year, then the New Moon in March...but still didn't seem to get into it. But then one of my friends lent me the books in July and even though I'd seen the first 2 movies...because they were a few months ago...I'd kinda forgotten what happened. And once I'd started reading...I was hooked - it was hard to put down. I couldn't read them in a week like some of you's but managed to get through them within 8 weeks (impressive for me since I hadn't read a book since high school and that I have a toddler and baby to look after).

I think the books are soooo much better then the movies - much more detail, so even though you know whats happening next, its still a little different. But I still can't wait to see the Breaking Dawn movies....in 2011 and 2012 - it seems forever away...so for that reason I recommend you continue reading the books otherwise you'll be waiting forever to see what happens...and boy is it good!!! (well I think so anyway).
