What books do i need to read??

I agree with Kylieb77 - The Cross Stitch series by Diana Gabaldon. I've just finished book 2, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main male character, Jamie, does wonders for the imagination

I third Diana Gabaldon - I've just finished book 5 - and will head out to buy book 6 tomorrow - they are unputdownable!!!

I am re-reading the Diana Gabaldon series for the second time in 18 months

And I have both read The Lovely Bones & seen the movie. Both good, although as is often the case, a few bits missing from the movie - but I would recommend either on its own.

oh yes, The Book Theif is FANTASTIC!

Seriously the best book I have read in years actually, and written by an Aussie!

'Escape' by Carolyn Jessop
'Stolen Innocence' by Elisa Wall.
They are really fascinating books about the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (those crack pots run by Warren Jeffs), and the trauma these woman went through to escape, and their whole up-bringings in the FLDS, including being a child brides, and the madness of Warren Jeffs.

I found 'Escape' to be slightly more moving than the other, although they are written by women of slightly different eras, there are many areas of overlap. Carolyn's shows the difference from the group when they were under a different leader, and how they weren't as nutty as they obviously are today. Very very interesting.
