i just finished 'the pact' by jodi picoult.

it's the first of her books that i've read & it was an easy read (not the subject matter itself). i'm interested to hear anyone else's opinions about her books? i thought it was quite good.

After this I am going to brave The Slap
I didn't find The Slap enjoyable at all, but I don't regret reading it IYKWIM. None of the characters are likable in the least, but that's better than an overly simplified book where everyone is either "good" or "bad"...

I like her books, but I wouldn't read more than one in a row! I need a breather between her subject matter ... like a lot of authors!

Does anyone know when Marian Keyes' next book will be out? I was really dissappointed with her last one, and so I'm looking forward to her next effort, as the most recent one was the first of hers I haven't loved ...

Check the Fantastic Fiction UK website. It's keeps me up to date on all the authors I like such as Marian Keyes, Sophie Kinsella and Cathy Kelly. Marian Keyes does not appear to have anything due for release.

    Cathy Kelly.
    Who?

    I don't know her.

**runs off to book depository to inspect potential new beloved author**

I love Cathy Kelly. She's probably my favorite.

Started reading Lola's Secret last nigh and I couldn't put it down. I had to actually force myself to turn off the light and then I was wide awake for another hour wanting to keep reading! I didn't realise that it's the same family as Alphabet Sisters!
