I've been plugging away at the A Song Of Ice And Fire series for the past couple of weeks. According to my Kindle, I'm 26% into A Feast For Crows

Oh my LAWD is it good! The multiple storylines are so interesting - though I prefer some stories to others - and the characters are so well thought out! It's hard to believe he's actually making it up as he goes, which is what he's gone on record as saying. Apparently he has the ending in his head, but the journeys to that point aren't set in stone

Ditto! I'll be so boring in this thread because I'll be reading this series for ages lol. I'm 94% through A Storm Of Swords apparently. I completely agree about liking some stories more than others. Sometimes a character title will come up and I just think "blergh, next" lol. On the other hand, I hate when he leaves a character and I *really* want to know what happens, and he doesn't get back to them for aaaaaagggesss!

Struggling through 50 shades. Can't wait to finish so I can get into something worthwhile.

I read the Game of Thrones series like 10 years ago. I'd love to revisit it... But I own the BOOKS and can't be bothered paying for them again on Kindle.

So what can I read next ladies?

I'm up to chapter 16 of the first 50 Shades book, and getting a bit over it now. Earlier in the week I finished reading Eat, Love, Pray by Elizabeth Gilbert

You'll only read about 16 PAGES of the last two books of the 50 Shades series...combined!

Arghh...I need mind bleach...or something! to get the horrible things outta my mind!

I still have 50 Shades waiting for me on the kindle. Seems wrong to read it while holding an innocent, wholesome newborn ;-)

I'm reading David Baldacci's latest - The Innocent. Fast paced thriller that has no depth so good for picking up and putting down.

OP = have you read Nelson Demille? I love love love his books - the earlier ones more than the last four or so. They are brilliant with really well written, interesting storlines and all different.

WilliamsMummy - depending on how good you are with names, you might benefit from keeping a post-it in the front of the book, with a diagram of the different characters ... some of the names I found tricky to keep track of!

I'm reading the third book of The Hunger Games. I'm really enjoying them.

Also reading "Raising Boys" a bit here and there.

They are incredibly long books lol - I read for about a week, then saw on my Kindle that I was only something like 5% into book 3 (I *ahem* skipped book 1 because I watched the first season of the tv show) Sure, I've got Amelia as a distraction, but I am a FAST reader. I thought I was nearer to the middle

I'm trying to decide what to read next too, not sure if I should read 50 shades or not? So much hype over it makes me think it won't live up to my expectations lol!

Might get onto 'raising boys' while I decide what else to read!

Ok so Im still searching for a new book to read, but just wanted to ask about the Jack Reacher books. Am I right in hearing that Tom Cruise will be playing him in the movie version?? My vision of Jack was that he was much much much taller than Tom

Sandie, go read them with no expectations and the books will still not reach them.

I am currently re-reading The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldan. Love this series. Great if you like historical fiction.
