    From the last thread

I am reading The People Smuggler - The true story of Ali Al Jenabi.

I have also loaded the Gina Rinehart unofficial biography to read next and then I might go onto the Michael J Fox biography.

I am popping in to give an update on The People Smuggler, it's written by Robin De Crespigny. I am absolutely enthralled by this book. It's an incredibly emotional book.
I am amazed that Ali Al Jenabi is still alive and his plight and struggles in this book are truely heartbreaking, some uplifting and some I cannot even begin to understand.

I felt the same about The People Smuggler Heather, truly heartbreaking but one of those books I couldn't put down. I've read it twice.

Just started reading Room by Emma Donoghue which my sister gave me to borrow. I've read Slammerkin by the same author and enjoyed it. Although it comes with a 'may be disturbing' and a 'heartbreaking' warning. Think after this I'll go for something lighter!

Finished The People Smuggler, it was a fantastic book. I cried, laughed and cheered him on. It's a must read IMO.

I am now going to read the Gina Rinehart unauthorised biography.

Beauty & the werewolf by mercedes lackey. Twists on the classic tale; it's one in a series based on fairy tales by lackey & you don't have to have read the others (tales of the five hundred kingdoms is the series)

The postie delivered 3 Donna Leon novels I haven't read
Apparently they're making a movie or TV show or summat. I hope that the person who plays Brunetti is hot so I can continue to have a crush on him.

I'm gearing up for an orgy of reading books with a Japanese theme. Any recommendations? I've read and will re-read Memoirs of a Geisha, Tale of Murasaki, The Tales of the Otari.

I just started The World According to Garp. I've only just discovered tonight that it's fiction - I've seen the movie a couple of times and have always thought it was a true story!
