I found between Apollo Bay and Port Campbell, it was called McDuffs @ Lavers Hill.
I got all excited becuase there were tourist brochures for it at our holiday house, so we went there especially, and after the 40 minute drive, we got there to find it was out of business the the building for sale and boarded up.

Mmm oh well now I will really be looking forward to my next trip to Lakes entrance or woodend!

Has anyone heard of Parkers Pies here in Rutherglen.According to the shop they make over 20 gourmet pies and sausage rolls. The have been awarded the Major Prize in the Great Aussie Pie Competition in 2003,2005,2006!
Their sweet cakes and eclairs are delicious as well! They aren't cheap though, $4.00 a pie/slice.

I'll have to keep an eye out for them Jess Sounds good. The good stuff is often pricey... with food you do tend to get what you pay for. Unfortunately once you've had the best it's hard to go back and compromise.

I had a Phillipa's Fig and Anise loaf last weekend (shared with family).... so delicious but at nearly $7 for a tiny loaf the size of a hot dog roll we can't afford it too often... but geeze, I'm glad there's still a market for them!

Still, the expensive price and small size is better on my waistline
I got a Phillipa's hamper from my old work once, OMG it was to die for.

    Question

Yeh, GRACIE ... I reckon there selection is nothing like it was yrs ago when I first came across it in actual Beechworth about 15yrs ago.

... And their ever popular Bee-Sting has been insanely over priced & recently went up in price again

Could NOW buy a full-size cake in Coles for the same price.

Though I reckon the foccacia prices are pretty reasonable (& yummy too)

Like the seating arrangement BEST in the BENDIGO beechworth bakery & is always extremely clean unlike the dirty tables I always see at the Ballarat beechworth bakery (went there last Friday morn, & yep once again the tables were dirty again & it wasn't even busy).

It's a shame a lot of local smaller business' (bakeries) don't get to become so well known like the Beechworth Bakery chain. There are a ton out there with much cheaper prices & a lot more yummy & a more descent size too

... So, fantastic for US that this thread was posted
