We like this one too... but usually eat wholemeal or wholegrain made from the local baker... it's really soft... doesn't last long, but DSD eats it just fine... maybe, instead of the processed ones from the supermarket you could find a local baker???
otherwise we did eat WonderWholemeal for a while and that's still pretty nice/soft etc...
I'm a bit of a hard a*s though, and if I was in your position I'd just say... "this is the bread we are all eating, and you'll eat it"...
(of course I'd try to get a nice one though!!!)
the others are right- in terms of GI, the most recent dietician I saw from the Women's said that wholegrain breads are the lowest GI aka 'best' as they metabolise slower, than white or wholemeal alone....
incidentally, did you know that basmatii rice is lower GI than brown rice... THAT surprised me![]()
