    Best tasting soy milk?

My DS has been very unsettled for a few weeks now and I am wondering if it's due to something in my diet. I have already stopped having chocolate, coffee/tea, spicy foods and onions and garlic. But he's still unsettled, so I am wondering if it's dairy? So I am going to try cutting that out for a few days to see.
But the problem is I luuuurrrve my milk, yogurt and cheese , so I will replace it with soy products. Another problem is that I'm not a big fan of plain soy milk, well not the one I have tried in the past. I do like the flavoured soy milks, especially the vanilla one, yummmm!
So if you use soy milk in cerials, and just to drink, which one is the nicest? I have heard they taste different to each other. I thought I also might try the yogurts, which are nice out of those?

I've used Soy milk for years and I have found Soy Good to be the best as far as taste. And they have yummy chocolate Soy milk too!! I use Soy Good in all my cooking etc as a direct milk replacement and it works great.

If you really cant stand the taste of Soy milk, try rice milk, its a bit milder and also available at the supermarket.

I personally cant stand soy yoghurt, so I can't help you there. But I try to avoid dairy and I eat normal yoghurt because it already has all the happy digestive stuff in it.

There is no good cheese. Sorry....i love cheese too....it makes me sad

Oh, but Soy Good ice cream is awesome!

ETA: that would be So Good, not Soy Good.....sigh, baby brain...

When I gave up dairy I couldn't stand the taste of soy

Then someone recommended Bonsoy & it was SOOOO good that I would actually only go out for coffee to places that used it

Two years on I am OK with pretty much any soy, it's cow's milk that makes me barf! But I do still tend to use Bonsoy, particularly in cooking as it has no nutty taste that some of the soy milks can.

You will find it in most supermarkets, sometimes in the health food section, but more and more often it is just with all the other long life milks. It can be anywhere from $3.85 - $4.25 a litre, but around $4 is pretty standard.

Hope this helps, & goodluck with cutting out the dairy. If you'd like any dairy free recipes or tips feel free to pm me

For me, the best is Bonsoy. It's a little more expensive but it's worth it.

Agreed, soy cheese just isn't cheese

and So Good ice cream is yuuuuummmyy!! Even DP eats it in preference to other icecreams!! So Delicious is also good & comes in more adventurous flavours, but for creaminess the So Good is the best & the most reasonably priced.

King Land do a great soy yoghurt that doesn't taste like barf. It' s the only one I can eat but you won't find it in the 'big' supermarkets. Macro always have it & IGA's often do.

Other useful products are Tofutti 'It's not cream cheese' Available in the usual supermarkets in a round tub in plain & with added chives. It's super yummy on rice cakes with smoked salmon and I really don't think most people I serve it to have any idea they are not eating 'real' cream cheese.

Tofutti also do some 'plastic cheese' squares that melt in a toasted sandwich sufficiently to satisfy a craving. They are almost as much like cheese as Kraft plastic singles! LOL

Ok, I'm off to get some soy icecream
