My electric oven DIED last night!!!
I have no idea what happened.
I pre-heated it while preparing the homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner.
Then I put the mac & cheese in the oven.
A few minutes later (maybe 10) I noticed that there was sparks going off in the oven.
I shut the oven off and waited a few minutes for the smoke to clear a bit, then opened the oven, checked the mac & cheese and turned the oven back on.
However, it was DEAD - no more heat was to be had!!
Thankfully the grill portion of the oven still works (just tested it) so I have options for cooking with that, the stove, and the slow cooker until we can sort out what is wrong and get it fixed or replaced. However, we are renting so I'm amusing we will have to speak to the landlords along the way as well.
My question is this... can I cook chicken nuggets in the grill? I had them on the menu for this week and my DS#1 was really excited and he is going to be pretty upset if I have to tell him he has to wait until the oven is fixed!
Thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
