1 kg wings
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup light soy sauce
3 cloves garlic crushed
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
fresh chopped coriander & mint to garnish
Cut wing tips off (feed some to cat)
Combine honey, soy sauce, garlic & ginger in a big bowl and mix well
Put in chicken and mix well.
Put in the fridge for a few hours and move it around occasionally to ensure chook is well covered by marinade.
Arrange in a single layer in a baking dish and pour marinade over the top.
Cook in a moderately hot oven (about 190°) for 30 mins turning occasionally.
Then turn oven up to very hot (about 240°) for 10 minutes or until chicken is well glazed and tender.
I serve it with fresh chopped coriander and mint as garnish but that's optional.
Depends if they are for adults or the kiddies. I have a childrens cookbook and the recipe in there says, soy sauce, tomato sauce and honey mixed together. It makes a really yummy marinade
