    Do you eat your crusts?

You know, at the ends of the loaf of bread? None of us here like them & it seems such a waste to throw them out every time, so does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to make them more appetising?

Turn them into garlic bread? Collect them till you have a "loaf" then slather with butter and some crushed garlic and sprinkle some parsley - bake for 5 mins and yummo!!

I love them! I just eat them like normal bread, so I don't do anything else with them really. Maybe you could cut them into fingers and put them in the oven to dry out to make rusks for Juliette? or just freeze them and take to the park and feed the ducks?

    Hi Sarah,

No help here sorry. I just find it cute that you want to use your crusts .

We throw ours out to the Magpies.

I like the breadcrumbs idea though.

I don't eat the crust... I am so fussy that I don't even eat the next piece of bread after the crust! Thankfully my DH loves the crusts so that makes up for it.
Otherwise, I do the same as AJP and make fresh breadcrumbs out of them.
