Does pasta and rice freeze well?

Pasta is ok but I don't think you should freeze rice. It is the leading cause of food poisoning

I agree with N2L. If you're making pasta from scratch, it actually ends up being nicer once it's been frozen (IMO anyway!). To get around the rice, maybe pick up a couple of those microwavable rice packets so all she needs to do is whack it in to heat.

I freeze rice all the time - just make sure that you cool it quickly once t's cooked (preferably in the fridge) and that it gets reheated thoroughly.
