    ooh Christy said norti words....

If it's still intact it might be ok if it's broken and the crystals have gone into the food I would give it a miss.
Maybe you could ring the poisons information center.

well... the verdict is its a no go. The thing was flat when I pulled it out, and the butcher said that if the crystals escaped in a curry then the whole thing was trashed.

So off we go to Old McNasty....

Dachlostar :P I've edited out the norti word

D'oh . It's so disappointing when a meal goes to waste. I ruined a whole batch of cannelloni recently, I was devastated!

As for your RAK, you're heart was in the right place!

Ooohh, I am wiping the drool from my mouth as we speak, Lamb curry yummo.
I wish they wouldn't put those stoopid pad things in the meat, I have ruined so many roasts by cooking the pad with the meat.

I've thrown it out, but will shop for some more lamb in the morning, from MY butcher and will do it all over again, because I've been smelling it all day & NEED it now.
