I suppose an easy way is to head for the spices section in the supermarket and check out some of the sachet preparations they've got. I'm not really into those but picked up the Continental Beef Stroganoff (you could use chicken) and it was really lovely. You can have that with rice or very wide fettucini. Try those to start with, they're quick and easy.

I agree with Mrsr. Devilled sausages is also a favourite with DH and I. This packet can also be found in the spices section of the supermarket. I think either Maggi or Continential make them. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare and about 40 minutes to cook. Yummy served on a bed of really creamy mashed/whipped potato.

If you've got any sauces in jars like the Kantong variety or the like, you could quite easily cook the sausages and then throw the sauce in for a bit of extra flavour...although nothing beats meat and three veg at times, maybe even sausages and mashed potatoes and veges. I don't complain about that and I've got very adventurous tastes.

Have you got any curry powder? There's usually a very basic recipe for curry on the back of the Keens Curry Powder tin. Failing that, any yummy canned soups can be substituted for an easy sauce.

I just found this on another website...hope it helps.

    Devilled Sausages

1 kg snags (thick or thin)
    1 tin tomatoes
    1 tin sliced pineapple
    curry powder
    rice to serve

Boil and ***** snags to remove fat. Drain. Cut into pieces. Brown over heat with curry powder to taste. Toss in tomatoes. Toss in pineapple.Thicken if you think it needs it with flour mixed with water. Serve with rice.

I have another recipe for Devilled Sausages which is just devine but it is at home. I'll post it tonight in case you want to make it again another time .... it really is worth it. I love it because the ingredients are usually things you have in the pantry everyday so no need for special shopping.

OK, here is the recipe .........

    8-12 sausages
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tbs cornflour
    1 tsp dry mustard
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp white vinegar
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    1 cup water
    1 large onion
    1-2 green skinned apples (optional)

    Method:

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
    2. Lay the sausages out in a large casserole dish so they make only one layer in bottom of dish
    3. Mix all remaining ingredients together and pour over sausages
    4. Cover with foil
    5. Pop in oven for 60 minutes (I like to turn the sausages half way through)
    6. Serve with creamy whipped potato
