I have the Wilton Dolly Varden tin but used Betty Croker mixture and it took probably 1hr 20 mins. I actually thought it was cooked but when I cut the bottom off realised it was still rawish, so I put the lid back on and continue baking for the further 20 mins. So the outside doesn't dry out, turn your oven down lower.GL

This one doesn't have a lid - should I put some foil over it?

Sorry hun, should have clarified, I meant the part I cut off. According to my tin, you cut the risen part of the cake so it sits flat when you turn out the cake. So you have a cut off piece, what I was referring to as the 'lid'. Hope that makes sense
