I only ever boil the water onceas in i dont change the water
It might sound like a silly question, I don't know....hoping someone can help me, as this is dinner tonight
Usually when i cook silverside I bring it to the boil then drain it & fill the pot with fresh water, onion, carrot, vinegar & a pinch of brown sugar. Works well.
But tonight I have put it on at 4:00 & it has only just come to the boil - at 5:30.
I don't have time to drain it & boil more water if that's how long it will take!
Does anyone know if it will be ok anyway?
I know it's probably a silly question but I don't want to muck with what works, you know?
TIA![]()

never cooked it myself, but you could always drain it and add boiled water from the kettle? if that makes it more to what you usually do
I have never drained the water before either.
Thanks ladies
I made it without draining the water & it was fine...just like normal.![]()
