Using frozen banana is awesome, it makes it fairly thick like a thickshake. Have made them for DD before, just banana and some milk then whizz it up. Banana & mango/strawberries would also be really nice. Don't have to freeze the fruit of course, I just like the ice-creamy texture the banana gives.

Frozen Banana's & Strawberries with Tropical Fruit Juice & Strawberry Yoghurt... When I went to the markets two weeks ago I grabbed the 3 for $5 Strawberries and cut them up and put them in a container in the freezer... threw the Banana's in the freezer whole when they started to colour.

OOOh, now I want a smoothie! They were a great pregnancy food! I used to have one every morning for breakfast with a slice of rye toast (OK, two slices of rye toast!) but stopped making them when DS was born because the noise would freak him out. I looooove banana, natural yoghurt, milk, probiotic and flaxseed oil. A handful of fresh or frozen berries is great too. Or mango. Or paw paw. Hmmm, now I'm wondering if the sound of the blender will wake him up....
