    Honey Carrots?

Prob a stupid question but whats the best way to cook honey carrots?
DP wants something different with his tea and i don't particularly eat honey.

    Tonight we are having:

    Pepper Steak (rump steak)
    Corn on the cob

DP's Potatoes - par boil potato then cook in pan with bacon, herbs, garlic and onion then top with cheese.
    Honey Carrots
    Peas

Does this sound ok? I also have a garlic loaf, or is it too much?

DP is out working on the new place so thought might be nice for him to come home to this.

    mmmm, I love honey carrots.
I cook the carrots (I usually steam them, or you can boil them), once cooked remove the water, put carrots back in pot and add honey and stir. They don't need to be cooking to do this, the heat of the pot is all you need.

    Honey Carrots

YUM wow what a wonderful sounding meal, the potatoes sound so yummy, might give them a go for dinner tonight.

the way i make my honey carrots is boil the carrots in stick sizes pieces till just tender drain away all the water. Add a small amount of butter/marg then as much honey as you can bare stir around till butter is melted and carrots are coated in the mix.
i use two carrots, teaspoon butter and a tablespoon of honey.

    Enjoy.

Carrots chopped how you like in a saucepan, add a couple of large knobs of butter depending on how many carrots you are using, a big quirt of honey and pop a lid on.
Turn it on hight and stir (or shake) the saucepan frequently until butter is bubbling, turn down heat to med and continue to stir intermittenly until cooked to taste. Add S&P.
There is no need to cook the carrots seperately first (with the lid on the oisture will stay in the pot nd steam them)

Thanks everyone... was almost going to buy the tinned baby carrots cos they would look cute but didn't, might just 1/4 them and instead of peas i might do BEANS.. keep things a similar size.. chunky carrots, beans, potato and corn... mmmmm

They are so yum, i normally put the greated cheese on at the end, toss them once with it on then let it melt, it's even better if you elt a little go crisp on the pan, mmmmmm

I do it a super duper quick way.

Cut carrots into slices so they are round, put into a microwave proof container with some water and 2 tablespoons of honey. Put int he microwave for 5-8min (check on them as it depends on your microwave strength and how soft you like them). Then drain them off and the honey is flavoured through them! YUM!
