I've cut onions straight from the fridge and it's been just as bad as straight out of the pantry!
but WOAH stuff chopping 5kgs!

I've done it with safety glasses before! It helped a bit I think as long as I looked straight down at them and not an angle! they were sunglasses ones so the sight looked rather amusing to my mother!
