Ummm... a roast of any type with any vegies cos I haven't yet made one on my own. Ever.![]()
Are you serious you've never made a roast??? OMG, it's so easy! LOL.
We are having pumpkin soup and yummy bread I got from the farmers markets today.
But If I had a choice I would be going to my favourite Italian restaurant with my gorgeous man, and have: bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, chilli garlic prawns entree, braised lamb shanks, and to top it off, ricotta pancakes, with a yummy bottle of wine to wash it all down....mmmmm, yum!!

i wouldnt mind a nice madras beef curry..but i will have to settle for the yummy vege soup i made
I forgot to say that if i could have anything it be to go to a restaurant and have someone else do the cooking and i would just order dessert for all 3 courses!
In reality we are having salt and pepper squid and prawns with chips and salad (dh's choice but sounds good to me)
lol Mel - you will get there!! I seem to remember a thread about successful bikkies? A Roast cant be too far behind
Cai - ooh deary me...I think we need to go to Vue de Monde when I am in town and satisfy some culinary fancies hehehe
Wagyu Tartar sounds devine
Kristy - LOVE IT!! Although, I think I would have to reverse my ticker![]()
Thanks girls! My mouth is watering and I am getting too hungry to actually cook
Perhaps Bump and I deserve a night out![]()
Ahhh I had to give up on Vue, it was my fave restaurant till we had a run in with Shannon. Who acted like a prat when my gf complained (rightfully so) after a birthday party we held there (for me) was of very poor quality and service. Gone are the good old days of Vue in Carlton before he got a big head.
But we could do Pearl, or Nobu (which is where I've had all that from LOL) or a billion other placesOr we could just save up a squllion dollars and go to london and do the fat duck
I hope you get to have a night out... enjoy! For a culinarian (yes I made that up!) I don't know how you do it in WA (and I mean that lovingly since we literally swapped, you moved there from here and I moved here from there!)
Niliac you just listed all my fave restaurants
i hate oysters with every fibre of my being
but i had the deep fried oysters with wasabi mayo and seaweed salad at Nobu and loved it
and nearly ordered 100!
Rockpool bar and grill in melbourne have this dish of goats cheese tortalini with king prawns burnt butter and saltanas omg i could just devour 5 bowls!
