Ok well not quite that bad my rissoles haven't been airborn but they did break out of their freezer bag. Are things that are frozen but not in sealed containers still ok to dethaw to eat? Is there a time line? Should I just chuck em to be sure? DP wants to eat them but I'm not so sure I really want to!

personally i wouldn't if the bag had broken - the meat can be contaminated by other things in the freezer or the protein structure changed when they're "frost bitten"

if we have anything in the freezer that happens to tear the wrap or the bag breaks - well, the dogs get an extra feed!

I wouldn't. They would get freezer burnt very quickly if they are left out in the open & taste yuck!
