Try cutting out excess salt, sugar, caffiene, and alcohol. These things make the body less efficient at absorbing nutrients.
Fatty acids (fish, nuts, flaxseeds) are supposed to be good for depressive illnesses, as are the b-vitamins (oats, wholemeal cerials, brown and white rice, nuts, leafy greens, meat, dairy foods). Magnesium (brazil nuts, almonds, and legumes) and selenium (oysters, liver, sunflowerseeds, prawns)
Not a dietry thing, but try to get out into the sun every day and to exercise. You absorb vitamin D from the sun, and it makes you feel good, so a walk outside, or some gardening will help with depression.
