You can buy a sandwich toaster for $10 from Kmart, Big W, sometimes Priceline... Toasted sarnies with all sorts of fillings, yummo!

Also, what about a good old fashioned thermos? You can get good sized ones pretty cheaply at Kmart.

You can put heaps of things in those suckers - soup, casserole, pasta, baked beans, hot dogs (without the bun obviously!)...

Other ideas are egg and bacon pies, quiche, frittata, muffins (savoury and sweet).

Yeah I would do the thermos then he can take Curry, Pasta, Risotto etc that's what DH takes (and you can get the large bowl thermos now).

I used to have a Bionic Woman thermos at primary school (not sure if your DH would like one like that?) My mum put EVERYTHING into it. Including fish fingers, little savs, soup, leftovers, whatever.....

What about making up batches of muffins weekiy & freezing them. You just need to pop them in his lunch box & by the time he has morning or arvo tea they should be thawed

You can make savoury types of scones, cheese... bacon and cheese.

When he buys takeaway what does he buy? Id make something similar and still have a day to buy takeout.. otherwise he might start to resent his sandwiches etc lol
