Question Medical Condition - Low Fat recipes needed :)

    Hi All....

I've got gallstones so I have to eat a really really low fat diet until I get my gall bladder out. (which might be a while as I've lost my referral to the surgeon)

I am so bored with what I have been eating (steamed vegies, baked or grilled meats or lean cuisine meals) that I really need some ideas for main meals and deserts....

Luckily there are some really nice packet mix cakes and muffins that are 97% fat free but if anyone has some nice recipes I would really appreciate it if you could share them

    Thanks heaps

My mum gave me a set of the books call Symply 2 good to be true. They have heaps of low fat, low salt and low everything else recipes for people with all kinds of conditions or people who just want to eat healthy. I can scan a couple of recipes for you and email them if you tell me what kind of things you like. We eat at least 4-5 dinners out of the books each week and most of them you can't even tell that they're low fat. Alot of it is using low fat cheese/milk and subsituting ingredients for lower fat versions

    That would be great Justine

We eat almost anything - except now I can't eat tomato because of my gall bladder.

If you have the time I would really appreciate it I'll PM you my email

no worries, i have heaps of time procrastinating when i should be doing my assignments.

So nothing with tomato, obviously white meat like chicken and fish has less fat than red meat, do you eat seafood? do you want red meat recipes?

Just asking because i don't eat seafood and don't eat pork so don't want to send you stuff that is useless for you

ok recipes sent Best thing about them is that they are simple as well as good for you and they have the nutritional information for each recipe so you know how much fat is in each one. You can also substitute different meats in different recipes and it gives you the nutritional details for each one. I'll find out where mum bought them from and cost and let you know

My mums best friend Annette from school wrote those books. She completely turned her life around. I have a couple. I have loved everything I have made from them and they really are tasty.
