    Breadcrumbs - two part question

In my frige are a BIG bag of fresh breadcrumbs. I asked for about two cups at the grocery store and they brought me 2kg of breadcrumbs. Seeing that it was for free .. I took it. Now it's in my fridge and I have no idea what to do with it. I used some of it to make a cabbagebake thing (that was terrific btw) but now I'm lost. Any ideas on how to make it disapear. And no, dd can't throw everything on the lawn for the birdies ... it's entrapment .. we have a cat

Also I'm making Arancini Balls (thanks Cai) for poker night tomorrow, but it asks for dry breadcrumbs. How do I make them dry? Just pop them in the oven for how long? At wat temp?

    TIA

Emmasn - thanks for the link ... I'm adding it to my favs, loads of cool ideas there

Would it be possible to dry them out and freeze them?? I'm scared that I won't get through 2kg's of breadcrumbs before they go off.

    A couple of my favourites....

    1. Schnitzel... get some chicken breast, veal or beef, slice/bang out thing and crumb with fresh breadcrumbs.

For schnitzel add some grated parmesan, plus some driend for a real hit and fresh or dried herbs for a really tasty crumb - you will never go back to dried crumbs.

    2. Mix in some lemon pepper and chicken seasoning to your fresh crumbs, cut chicken breast into "nugget" or "strip sized pieces, crumb and shallow fry - the best ever Chicken Nuggets
