Bananas and strawberries and cream here!

Now here's a tip I stole from Zarava Flutterby -

Buy a tub of ice cream and let it melt a bit and mix your lollies through, cold rock style! I throw in a peppermint crisp and a cherry ripe too. Then back into the freezer to set. Cheap cold rock and oh so nice.

Oh Cobbers....thanks. Never heard them called anything else before.

I also forget red and green frogs. I liked green ones the best. Everything is made smaller these days too. I'm sure the frogs and the teeth used to be so much bigger when I was a kid.

My favourites were licorice, chicos, cobbers, choo choo bars. My brother and me used to walk to the milk bar, they were 1c and 2 c each, I remember.

My primary school canteen used to stock these little coloured licorice coated in powder. I wish I could have these again!

Jupiter bars - I now buy them in the supermarket. yummmy.

Oh I loved them! The shop I worked in had them for years then they went out of them - I used to love being able to pick what colour jelly beans you wanted! And cobbers, mmmm, cobbers and pineapples and straw and cream, chicos,.....ahh lollies, the reason I have a wobbly belly!

When I was a kid in highschool the traditional summer activity was to go to the pool (and tan yourself silly oops) and buy bags of choc and white and caramel drops, open the paper bag out flat and melt them on the hot cement - mmmm tasty!

PacRakMG: We call that chocolate bar ice-cream!

4L vanilla ice-cream softened, 2 chopped crunchies, 2 chopped mars bars, 2 chopped cherry ripes and 1 chopped peppermint crisp. Mix into softened ice-cream, return to tub and set. As I have a summer birthday, my mum used to set it in a round springform cake tin, then slice it and serve as ice-cream cake
Doesn't work with smarties or M&Ms though - they get too hard and the colours bleed...

As for lollies: bananas, teeth, choc buds, caramel buds, chicos, strawberries & cream, milk bottles...

Our primary school canteen used to sell choc buds for 1c each. Always felt sorry for the ladies when they were asked to count out 150 of them in a hurry though!!

Would also account for my squishiness now - that and the fact that DH works for a company that makes chocolate - I've been in the warehouse and it is pretty close to heaven!!

I am finding it pretty funny right now that this thread is following the diet and weight loss thread on the new posts page!
