    Must have ingreadients

What are the ingredients in your fridge or cupboards that you couldn't do without?

    Mine would have to be:

    mixed frozen veg
    mince
    onions
    eggs
    chicken noodle soup
    tomato soup

I can always make some sort of meal with those ingredients in my house!

Mmmm, I got some from my deli once, but I tend to forget about it.......

It's very delish though, especially drizzled into potato and leek soup!

Definitely bacon/procuitto/pancetta!!!! & Passata! I also always have a frozen jar of my pizza sauce which is basically aldi stir through sauce with a heaped tablespoon of minced garlic stirred through.
    Leftover frozen wine!!!
And some cheese of some description.
You'll also always find sour cream, normal cream and blocks of unsalted & salted butter LOL!
Oh and I always have a few tins of condensed milk in the cupboard.

Truffle oil is delectable! The one I have is truffle infused olive oil. I used to purchase the good quality truffle oil concentrate but it can be a bit exxy and I kept putting in more than I should, whereas with the olive oil you can be more liberal and not panic. It has a really nice mushroom flavour (truffles are from the mushroom family) and adds another depth to a dish without the need for "additives" iykwim? Great in soup, pasta sauce (red or white), mashed potato, scrambled eggs and of course risotto (which isn't complete without it IMO).

    I always have;

    condensed milk
    nestle caramel top'n'fill
nestle choc'n'top (same as the top'n'fill only chocolate)
    cartons of longlife cream
packets of scotch finger biscuits (the biscuits, cream and top'n'fill/choc'n'top make a dead easy dessert if you get caught out)
cream of mushroom soup (great beef strog base)
dry soup mixes (french onion/spring vegetable/chicken noodle - not much you can't make with those)
    tin tomatoes
    curry powder
    potatoes
    pasta
    rice
    assortment of stocks (beef/chicken/vegetable)
    ketcap mannis (sweet soy sauce)
    oyster sauce

The freezer is always stocked with beef/lamb/chicken too.

OMG girls, can I come and live at your houses??? At the moment I have NOTHING in my fridge/freezer/cupboards...I just made my own version of savoury mince and mash. I didn't have onions, only green onions and substituted pasta sauce with chopped tinned tomatoes and some herbs. I have no more potatoes and have used the last of the tinned tomatoes and tomato paste, no bread, only 1 litre of milk... we're getting desperate, but I won't go shopping till after chrissy though. We will have to go and stay at mums just so I have food to eat, LOL! Lucky it's chrissy and we have an excuse, hehe!

Can I ask Cailin - what do truffles actually taste like? I was thinking of this last night watching Iron Chef.

I think (and I have heard others say different things) they have a texture of a walnut, but taste kind of like a parmesan infused mushroom. They can be quite strong but the flavour is amazing. Some people don't like actual truffles, but I love them! I just wish they weren't so expensive!

Kellieem you should see my pantry & freezer, its all stocked to the brim, and we desperately need to go shopping LOL!
