Mmmm yummo! Will link you a thread I got lots of advice from a few weeks ago - I took advice from lots of different people and kind of made up my own recipe but the key is definitely DRY skin for it to crackle. We find that we dry it off and crackle it up in the microwave if the oven failssounds terrible but it works!
