Am I the only one that hates sifting? I never do it, I learnt a wonderful trick on Martha and do that instead unless something requires double or triple sifting I do this instead... What is it do I hear you ask?! WHISK! I use a metal whisk (plastic ones don't work as well) and whisk the dry ingredients together in a bowl and it works I swear! It aerates it and combines it without the need of an annoying sifter! And its done in half the time![]()

I hold it up nice and high and pretend I'm Delia Smith (British TV chef) who is fanatical about proper sifting! The trick is to have a nice large bowl to receive the sifted ingredients otherwise it can get messy. But I'll try the whisk method Cai... maybe next time I do pancakes... that'll be a test! Love 'em fluffy!
